NHRA outlawed these lethally fast machines for most of 1965, allowing them to eventually return due to large crowds they draw. This one brings more cubes and electronic fuel injection to the table. Ultimate 1969 Camaro SS396 L-89 American Muscle Car
Considered among the Holy Grail of Camaro's, the L-89 optioned '69 Camaro would set buyers back an extra $710.95 to check the 375HP L89 optioned aluminum-head 396. Only 311 buyers opted for this expensive engine option, hence the rarity. This grossly-underrated big block engine was very similar to the 425HP 396 offered in 1965. Bred for racing, these engines featured 11:1 compression, forged internals, a solid lift valvetrain, and special Winter's casted rectangle-port aluminum cylinder heads, aluminum intake and special Holley carburetor. With a savings of over 50 lbs over the front end, these were a hit at NHRA events and an L89 Camaro is easily a 13 second quarter mile car at 100mph+ on street tires. This 1969 Camaro is 1 of the 311 produced, ordered in Tuxedo Black with Hockey Stripes & Ivory White Interior. Options include Power Disc Brakes and Power Steering. Due to the high revving and powerful nature of these cars, you couldn't order air conditioning. Additional options include a center console & gauge package, X-22 SS 396 style group, and factory tachometer with raised redline. 1965 Dodge Coronet Super Stock Hemi
This is an AHRA record holder and one of a handful of factory Coronet Super Stock Dodges to survive today. Approximately 100 were built, only a handful are known to exist today. These cars came stripped from the factory with rear seat delete, radio delete, heater delete, stamped steel wheels, dome light and reserve light delete, park gear delete, corning light weight glass, cowl induction, and more.
