1970 Chevelle SS454 For Sale!
This Black Beauty currently has a 454 big block, 12 bolt rear, 3:73 gears and Muncie 4 speed Trans. The whole car is done with fresh paint and is very solid. Stripes are painted on and cleared over as factory. The cowl induction hood is functional and in good working order. The 454 is pretty stock and VERY drivable to cruise about town or take to a show. Dual Exhaust with twin Flowmasters put out the sounds and the correct SS Rims and radials put it to the ground.

With fresh paint in Electric Blue (Neon SRT) with White SS stripes, this Chevelle looks mean, and sounds positively evil! This California car has been stored in a temperature controlled shop since the restoration. The chrome is blinding. This car is laser straight, with beautiful body lines, clean door and trunk lips and original rockers. You can still see the spot welds in the rockers, and the pinch welds are rust free. This car looks like a million bucks from every angle! The stares haven't stopped and the jaws continue to drop.
Open the hood on this electric Chevelle and you will find a 1997 Vortech 7.4 liter engine (completely stock) with custom built wiring harness and fully laptop programmable computer. The engine bay has been detailed to a very high level. A custom polished intake manifold and valve covers, ceramic coated headers, MSD ignition wires, K&N filter, and an aluminum radiator with auxiliary transmission and oil coolers were included in the restoration. Front disc brakes and rear drum brakes with hydraulic power assist keep this Chevelle between the lines.
Underneath the car, you'll find a factory fresh chassis and floorpans that, like the cars exterior panels and engine bay, have been restored to the absolute highest standards. The undercarriage has been painted, there is nothing wrong with the floorboards, the frame members are beautiful and look new. A top notch turbo 400 automatic transmission with an extra deep B&M pan sends power to a 12 bolt posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gear. Exhaust is handled by a 2.5" Exhaust system and 40 series Flowmaster mufflers. Fresh fuel lines, and a new oil cooler were also included in the restoration. Connecting this awesome Chevelle to the pavement is four new Goodyear G Force tires that are mounted around 17 inch Cragar wheels.
Check out the new interior! The new white bucket seats and door panels provide an excellent contrast against the blue exterior paint. The solid floors were covered with new black carpets and "Chevelle" stitched floor mats. Overhead is a tight-fitting red headliner, and beside the seats, a pristine console houses a traditional horseshoe style automatic shifter. In front of the driver, a straight SS style dash houses a black instrument panel with crystal clear gauges and tach above a factory correct AM radio and chrome trimmed vents for the cars heater/defroster. Behind the cockpit, a clean and solid trunk features correct spatter paint.
Documented, numbers matching Chevelle SSs are excellent collector cars. But why pay upwards of $125K for 'man cave' decoration when you can own the road in this fire-breathing tribute for half the price? Let's drop underneath first. The floor pans are clean and are as solid as a rock. Power steering keeps the car between the lines, and all new brakes do all the stopping you'll ever need. The rebuilt 4-Speed transmission shifts on the money and the Eaton posi-traction 12 bolt rear end with 373 gears slams the power to the ground. Ceramic coated headers dump into the Exhaust system and produce an awesome ground shaking rumble. The result is a mean look that's done right!
Stand up, take a step back and look over the exterior. The smooth finish in deep blue goes perfectly with the black stripes front and rear. The beautiful chrome and stainless trim, and pristine grille, doesn't let the bodywork down! The body gaps are great, the doors, trunk and hood close with authority and precision.
Interiors don't come much cleaner that this. The black vinyl bench seats, by Harden, are in perfect condition. The door panels feature a wood veneer trim, and comfortable armrests. Auto Meter gauges, an aftermarket tachometer and floor shifter can be found in front of the driver's seat. The digital AM/FM radio sits in the dash and works great.
While the exterior is beautiful, and the interior is cool, it's the engine compartment that steals the show! Where to begin -- Lunati Cam with 292 duration, rebuilt 396 cubic inch motor, HEI ignition, 750 Holley carb, rebuilt heads, trick kit and more were put into this rebuild. A rebuilt three core radiator with 160 degree thermostat keeps you cool. This car was built to drive!

Inside this Nova you'll find a completely custom Paul Atkins leather upholstery that includes maroon leather seats, a custom body matched dash, Classic Instruments gauges, a direct fit AM/FM radio, a Vintage Air air conditioning system, a custom console, a Lokar shifter, custom door panels and a body matched tilt steering column that holds a GM Rallye wheel.
