Karmann Ghia - Convertible Top Installation - Part 2 - Headliner
A step by step of how I installed the custom tweed headliner from Mike at House of Ghia (made by TMI) in my 1974 VW Karmann Ghia. Thanks to Vince (Ghiaaddict) on thesamba for his step by step tutorial. I would not have even attempted this without his help and guidance. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=389729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Karmann Ghia - Convertible Top Installation - Part 4 - Outer Canvas
It been a long time since the last video on the install (September 2012 to
be exact). The top arrived from TMI by way of HOG and this video shows the
installation of the canvas top onto the headlined and padded frame. I will
have one more video in this series showing the finishing touches and adding
all the necessary seals around the windows.

VW Karmann Ghia - TMI Carpet Kit Install - Part 1
I made HUGE progress on the interior of the Karmann Ghia today. I got the
heater channel "Y"s welded in, I got the kick panels made, I got the
windlace (s) made, I got the windlace retainers striped and painted, I got
the rear seat area covered in vinyl and I got a fair amount of the carpet
kit from TMI installed.

see this great classic 1974 Karmann Ghia Convertible for sale from Left
Coast Classics in Sonoma California.
Documented, one owner California car with only 68,700 original miles since
new! The 1974 Ghia is truly the best of the last with only 1558
convertibles produced in 1974 making it the lowest production year.
No rust ever, all original sheet metal. Always garaged. Original CA car.
Heavily documented since new including window sticker, purchase agreement,
repair orders spanning it's life, registration cards and more. Original
interior including all panels and carpets. This car was never in any
accidents. No clips, hacks. Small amount of filler on the nose, less than
a square inch (inner nose pictures included). No structural damage. All
electrical works. Born in orange, color changed to beige a few years ago,
trunk was not changed nor was deck-lid so a color change back should be
relatively simple if desired. Runs and drives excellent with tight
steering, suspension, shifting and plenty of power with it's low 68,000
miles. Enjoy this car while it appreciates in value.

this great barn find - a 1971 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible sold by Sunset
This cute little Ghia has lived in a barn for the past 24 years! It is
happy to be in my garage with other good VW company, but I already have a
yellow Ghia Convertible so this one is up for sale. The long-time owner
said he took the car out every year to keep things fresh. When I looked at
the car he admitted it had been 3 years since it had been driven. The barn
was on a dirt road way out in the Minnesota prairie. It was a fun find.
Convertible Karmann Ghias are definitely one of my favorite barn finds for
a classic car.

Karmann Ghia Windshield Installation - Part 2
Wrapping up the install on the Karmann Ghia windshield. Use Silicon or
dish soad instead of Vasoline. Found out butyl rubber doesn't like
petroleum jelly. If you are squeamish about seeing glass get hit with a
hammer, turn the channel.
