2011 Bakersfield March Meet Tony Noto Grumpy's Toy Crash
Real bummer this car crashed. Tony Noto in his 1974 Grumpy's Toy Vega Pro
Stock replica. This was hands down my favorite car at the March Meet. My
dad had a Popular Hot Rodding centerfold of this car in my room when I was
a kid. Let's hope Tony will rebuild...I want to see more Nostalgia Pro
Stock cars like this one with the vintage wheels and dry hops (something
you don't see anymore).
I hope everyone likes my little Diamond P replay tribute.
THE JEGS LEGACY OF RACING SUCCESS BEGINS
As JEGS Mail Order celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2010, it's important
to note that founder Jeg Coughlin Sr. was once a drag racing demon, racing
and winning in a variety of hot rods in the freewheeling early days of NHRA
At a time when a national circuit didn't exist, Coughlin raced to 30
divisional championships, challenging for titles in Top Fuel, Pro Stock,
Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, A-Gas Supercharged, D-Gas
Supercharged, C-Gas, C-Stock, Modified Eliminator, Pro Comp, and Super
At one point Coughlin won a record 11 races in a row in his JEGS-branded
Top Alcohol Dragster. He also won a national-level race in his D-Gas
Supercharged hot rod. Not many drivers have won as many rounds as Coughlin,
especially with the wins spread out over so many different eliminators.
The racing community has certainly taken notice. Coughlin is a member of
three different Halls of Fame and was honored with the prestigious Car
Craft Magazine "Ollie" Award for Lifetime Achievement.
1978 Dodge Warlock Pickup V8 - Mopar Muscle Truck
I thought you'd like a look at this nicely restored 1978 Dodge Warlock
pickup. This truck is very similar to the Dodge Little Red Express trucks
from the same time. This truck looks like new, both inside and out. The
black paint is ultra slick, it has nice gold pinstriping details, and the
interior is extremely well kept as well. Under the hood, the V8 is nicely
detailed and is topped with an Edelbrock intake and four barrel carb. The
bed has been completely redone and it's riding on a set of American Racing
wheels with Hoosier tires. This truck needs nothing and is ready to go.
Thanks for checking it out!

Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Kit, Organ, EP
With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from
Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together
as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to
electric piano. 011
