CADILLAC ELDORADO BIARRITZ 1959 - Modest test drive - Engine sound | SCC TV
Feel free to also have a look at this great video of a FORD THUNDERBIRD Convertible 1957: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC3qGVZhlhs Recently we came across this beautiful Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 1959 at The Gallery in Brummen, The Netherlands. We took the car for a little spin! We love to hear your comments on our videos or receive that most wanted thumb up! Thanks a lot! Unlike the Cadillac Sixty Special and De Ville, Eldorado did not have a unique luxury package to provide it with a title change (such as the "d'Elegance" package). This was rectified in mid-year 1976 with the Biarritz package. A unique trim feature of Biarritz, a name that had not been used since the 1964 model year (although the Eldorado was Fleetwood bodied from the 1963 model year on, the Fleetwood designation was only applied to all Eldorados produced from the 1965 through 1972 model years) was a brushed stainless steel roof covering the front passenger compartment for model years 1979-1985. This was a styling cue reminiscent of the 1957/58 Eldorado Brougham. The rear half of the roof was covered with a heavily padded landau vinyl top accented with large "opera" lights. The interior featured "pillowed"-style, "tufted" velour or leather seating, with contrasting piping, along with an array of other options available. For example, the 1978 Biarritz option packages consisted of the Eldorado Custom Biarritz ($1,865.00); w/Astroroof ($2,946.00); w/Sunroof ($2,746.00) and Eldorado Custom Biarritz Classic ($2,466.00); w/Astroroof ($3,547.00); w/Sunroof ($3,347.00). For the 1978 Eldorado model year only, there were 2,000 Eldorado Custom Biarritz Classics produced in Two-Tone Arizona Beige/Demitasse Brown consisting of 1,499 with no Astroroofs or no Sunroofs; 475 with Astroroofs; 25 with Sunroofs and only one (1) was produced with Power Sliding T-Tops.[32] The Biarritz option stayed with the Eldorado through the 1991 model year. Some of the original styling cues vanished after the 1985 model year, such as the brushed stainless steel roofing and the interior seating designs, but the Biarritz remained unique just the same.

1956 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible 365 V8 Dual 4 BBL
Special thanks to Gateway Classic Cars for letting us film this amazing machine. I thought you might like a look at this beautiful 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. This Cadillac is from an era when America was building some of the finest cars in the world. It's huge, it has tons of power, and it is absolutely dripping with chrome. It really doesn't get any better than this. It's powered by the original 365 Cubic Inch V8, topped with dual four barrel carbs and cranking out 305 horsepower. It was a privilege, just to go for a ride in this baby. I hope you find it interesting...thanks for watching! www.GatewayClassicCars.com The background track is Beer Belly Blues by John Deley. It's available, royalty-free, from the YouTube Creator's audio library. It can be downloaded at: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary_download?vid=e49d81dca93fbda0

134296 / 1970 Cadillac DeVille
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/qghjtdo Mixing one of the biggest and smoothest V8s GM ever produced with mirror-like paint and a spacious, comfortable interior, this classy DeVille puts a new twist on 'Standard of The World'. And if you've always dreamed of owning a big American cruiser that's high on style and loaded with comfort, it's just the opportunity you've been waiting for! Not completely devoid of character, like so many traditional, frame-off restorations, this road-ready drop-top is an exhilarating combination of factory-correct blitz and tasteful glam. Appearing both solemn and official, its Jet Black paint reflects an excellent shine that literally glows when crouching under the sun. And that modern two-stage covers what appears to be clean, mostly original sheetmetal which displays no sign of botched repairs or historic damage. Cadillac, once the world's leading proprietor of fine, 16-cylinder motor coaches, knows a thing or two about performance. For example, this convertible's correct, 472 cubic inch monster block, which is one of the largest V8s ever produced, turns stout 10 to 1 compression into a smooth 375 horsepower. And while GM Powertrain did provide engines that generated more power, this mill was designed to idle silently, create instantaneous thrust and emit merely a whisper from its tailpipe. Judging by the appearance of the car's satin black bay, it's been on a regular maintenance schedule, benefitting from periodic, full-scale detailing. Many of the motor's original ancillary items have been replaced by flashier hardware including: a chrome, single-snorkel air cleaner, chrome valve covers, a polished radiator overflow and an HEI distributor that's complete with 8mm Hi Temp wires. And thanks to two Optima gel cell batteries, the car fires so smoothly you may not even notice it's running. Behind that big engine, an original turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed spins a traditional GM 12-bolt that's complete with smooth 2.98 gears. Speaking of smooth, the car's long and low suspension, which is augmented with Air Ride Technologies air bags, glides over almost any imperfection with virtually no drama. And all that proven hardware rolls on slick Centerline Smoothies which spin 245/40R20 Firestone Firehawks around detailed Cadillac crests. If you're a fan of big time comfort, you'll be absolutely thrilled by this DeVille's custom black interior! The '63 Cadillac front and chopped rear seats are firm, supple and display virtually no signs of aging. In front of those half power, half manual seats, a modernist, crack-free dash hangs a contoured instrument panel between a billet mirror, a modern Pioneer CD player, controls for the car's Air Ride Technologies suspension and chrome-trimmed foot pedals. In front of the driver, a custom '59 Cadillac steering wheel spins a chrome horn ring around a tilting column and simple chrome gear selector. And behind the passengers, a Dynamat-lined trunk seals a giant subwoofer behind a Pioneer CD changer, two JL Audio amps, a small bass tube, a fifth Centerline/Firestone combo and a small, South County Customs jack. This DeVille is an extremely high-quality cruiser with no question marks attached. Don't miss your opportunity to own one of the coolest Caddys on the planet!
