Tractor Puller suffers broken arm during run.
Larry Koester broke his wrist at the end of his run onboard his Shell
Rotella T sponsored "Footloose" Mini-Rod tractor. With the front end in the
air, the tractor hooked to the left, Koester had the front wheels pointed
towards the end of the track, and when it came down, it jerked the steering
wheel hard - breaking his wrist.
It happens so quick, you can hardly see it. At the end, in the slo-mo view,
you can see when the wheel tosses his left hand up and out of the cockpit
and into the rollbar.
The video of the actual run is not that great. I used a suction cup mount,
(which I've used in Drag Racing many times...flung it down the dragstrip at
150+ mph.) Obviously, one of these tractors doen't bend and flex like
you'll see in this video.

This is part 1 of the entire video for our Buick, Olds and Pontiac day at
the local dragstrip. It doesn't have any added music tracks etc. Just the
sounds of the track.
(Part 2) 1962 Pontiac Convertible Destroyed In Decades
http://www.junkyardjunkeez.com Sam is still in shock from discovering a
1962 Pontiac Parisienne Convertible on this farm junkyard tour. He explains
how easy it is to miss something like this when you assume a pirated car
will be a sedan. He talks about how you need to look close when you are
hunting for old cars at farmyards. Look for part 1 on YouTube or visit our
web site above and click the 'Old Cars On Farms' button.

Muncie Dragway Launches, November 2009
One of the last races of the season at Muncie Dragway, most other tracks
shut down already, needless to say, there were many cars here. The Dodge
Diesel truck ran a 148 MPH 1/4, overheard someone saying that was a record
for a 4wd, it was quite impressive. The next car up was Joe Chrisman's
Pro-Mod, with a blown Keith Black Hemi, probably close to 2500 HP, although
they were just tuning this, still the power is awesome coming out of those
Hemi's, in the burnout box alone. They had numerous late model new cars:
Challenger's, late model GTO, both the white Vette and the GTO were right
at 148 MPH quarters as well. One guy wrecked, early 70's Chevelle, he was
racing the early 70's dark green Camaro, I just shut off the video
prior to the accident, he was fine, so that was good news, I guess the
car's drive-shaft either came loose, U-jt broke or something, then it took
out the rear end, sending the car on it's top, hate to see stuff like that
happen down there.

Big Burnouts: 1964 Pontiac Catalina Safari - /BIG MUSCLE
If you haven't figured it out by now, we love wagons on this show. To some
they're a misunderstood breed, but to those in the know, they're amazing.
Not only were the wagons of yesteryear known for their styling, but their
capacity to haul as much cargo as a modern day pickup. This 1964 Pontiac
Catalina Safari started off life as a Police Wagon, but was transformed by
its owner into the kick-ass, tire-shredding monster you see here. With a
Nelson Racing Engines 468 cid big-block under the hood, some updated
suspension bits and a killer look, this big green machine is
outside-the-box styling at its best.

Cross Country in a Gasser 1955 Chevy with a Hemi! - Roadkill Ep. 30
On this episode of Roadkill, it's 2,600 miles, 530 cubic inches, 700 horsepower, six
speeds, 17 mpg, and two fun visits with some friends from TV. Last time, on
Roadkill Episode 29, we finished our Chrysler-Hemi-powered 1955 Chevrolet
gasser in about two weeks of thrashing (it's the same car you saw us take,
as a bare shell, to Jim Meyer Racing in Oregon in Episode 8). On this
latest episode, we drive it around the block once, then hit the road on a
2,600-mile journey from Los Angeles to the kickoff party of the 2014 HOT
ROD Power Tour in Concord, North Carolina. On the way, there's the
breakdowns you expect from Roadkill, plus two surprises: a stop at Midwest
Street Cars with Justin "Big Chief" Shearer and Shawn "Murder Nova"
Ellington from Street Outlaws, and another with Rutledge Wood from Top Gear
The '55 Chevy is based on an original body with new quarters and floors and
a fiberglass decklid and tilt front end, and Lexan windows from ProGlass.
It's not in primer: the car was wrapped in satin black by Moody from
High-Tech Auto Wraps. The car sits on a complete gasser chassis from Jim
Meyer Racing with a solid front axle on leaf springs and a ladder-bar setup
with Vicking coilovers on the rear. The rear tires are reproduction
Firestone piecrust slicks from Coker tire, and the fronts are just like
stock VW Bug tires.
The engine is a 530ci Hemi based on a Mopar Performance crate engine. With
a Comp solid roller cam, 10.5:1 compression, homemade 2-1/4-inch headers
from a Hedman kit, and Hilborn stack injection powered by a FAST XFI
controller and Aeromotive fuel system, it makes 700 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of
torque. We were stunned to see 17 mpg a few times on the cross-country
trip, especially with absurd 5.43 gears in the Ford 9-inch rear axle. The
key to it all is the Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual double-overdrive
trans installed with a conversion kit from American Powertrain. The car
uses a Speedwires harness, charging and starting by Powermaster, and a
Braille lightweight battery in the trunk.
