my "green" 40 MPG C5 Corvette

This is a mileage check on my 1999 Corvette LS1 6 speed. I've done a few mods to improve power and they've also improved the mileage as well. Those mods are: Vararam CAI, LS6 intake manifold, Powerbond 25% underdrive pulley, GMPP wires and Iridium plugs, B&B shorty headers, Magnaflow x-pipe and Flowmaster cat-back system. During this test the tires were inflated to 33 front and 35 rear - the way I drive it every day. The stretch of road I use is a long, flat part of the San Mateo bridge. No special tricks or anything, just showing what the car is capable of in one uncut video.

C5 Corvette 'Service Column Lock' Message Fix
Well my 2001 Corvette Z06 got the dreaded "SERVICE COLUMN LOCK" message after sitting for a while during my summer vacation to Cancun and having the battery die. After changing the battery I first got the "PULL KEY WAIT 10 SEC" message, then after doing as told, "SERVICE COLUMN LOCK" came onto the display. The steering wheel was still easily tunable, so this Vette must have had the recall service done by its previous owner; however my fuel would cut off at 2 MPH since the cars BCM must have thought the steering was locked. After hearing from a couple guys on corvetteforum that the LMC5 from ComplianceParts(DOT)com is the way to go, I decided to give it a shot. The install was quite simple, and so far it has fixed the fuel cutoff, as well as both messages.
