Time lapse of Engine Swap Ford Focus 2.0L DOHC Very cool time lapse video
This is a start to finish video of an engine swap in a 2001 Ford Focus in
time lapse. This video shows the entire process of changing an engine in
just 5 minutes. The Focus used in this video was still running great but
had 193,000 miles on it. That engine was replaced with a 15,000 mile
engine from a totaled 2003 Ford Focus. This process is much easier when
you have access to a life but can still be done by placing the car on jack
stands and lowering the engine out. Unfortunately most of the work of
switching out the transmission and accessory drive was done out of frame in
the middle of the video. The extra work at the end of the video was to
trouble shot why the new motor was idling at 3,000 rpm. That was cause by
a stuck idle air control valve from where the engine had been in storage
for so long.
The work was done by myself, Brian Woehler with help from my dad William
"Ray" Woehler at the Wabash Autobody headquarters.
Focus ST Eibach Sportline Coil Springs Installation 2013

For installation, you'll first access and loosen the strut tower. Then,
remove the wheel and disconnect and remove the strut, following Bill's
instructions in the install video. After this, you'll disassemble the
strut, removing the original spring and spring dust boots. Then, install
the new Eibach spring and dust boot on the spring, along with the bump
stops included in the set.
Return the strut to your Focus and reinstall all bolts and brackets,
reconnect the sway bar and ABS sensor, and then repeat this process on the
other side. Resecure your wheels and reassemble your strut tower and cowl.
Next, you'll work on you rear springs, which are a lot less involved.
Remove the bolt pointed out by Bill, which holds the perch in place,
allowing you to access the rear spring. Remove the spring and bump stop,
and then secure the new bump stop and new Eibach spring. Next, return the
perch and bolt and then complete this process on the other side. Total
installation takes around three hours.
