This is a 400 Pontiac stroked to 468. Lane had some work done elsewhere on this engine in the past and was not happy with the outcome so he brought it to Sehr to get it done right. Lane did it the right way, he has a really good bottom end on it with Eagle stroker crank and Eagle full floating "H" beam rods so he has plenty of reserve to build on.

My buddy Keith's 74 Pontiac Firebird, with a 72 nose, and a 461 stroker(pontiac) motor.





461 Pontiac Engine
Pontiac 461 in my 81 TA. Removed the 535 to put in my 76 TA and put back in my 461. Ran last weekend at 3800 pounds and a 3.50 gear ran 10.87 at 125.51 mph. Standard port Edelbrock heads and an Ultradyne solid roller cam and 11.6:1 compression. Shift at 6100 rpm and go through the traps at 5700 rpm and a best of 1.58 60 ft, all motor !
