I've filmed this at an event in Wezep. It's named stingray. These cars have a V8 engine and this is the producer of the great sound. It's a lovely sound.

Chasing down a Corvette Z06
A 1966 Shelby Cobra replica chasing down and passing a C5 Corvette Z06 at the Talladega Gran Prix road race track during October 2005. For the record, both drivers were novices. One reason the Cobra was quicker is that it weighed about 700# less than the Corvette. The moral of the story is, no matter how hot the magazines say your favorite car is, there is a faster car that can outrun it on the right track.
