An Iconic Car Name Celebrates 75 Years

Through decades of changes in consumer tastes and economic shifts, the brand's key to success has been not changing much at all. In fact, the Suburban of today is very similar to the one of 1935. The 2010 75th Anniversary Diamond Edition makes its debut at the 2010 Chicago Auto show, with a special trim package that will be limited to 2,570 units.

The Silverado relies on a new, smart Exhaust brake system to slow the truck on descents, most notably proven by engineer Brent Deep's tow of a 20,000 lb trailer for 245 miles between Denver, CO and Grand Junction, CO without hardly touching the brakes. Chevrolet is also celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Suburban model which first made its debut during The Great Depression in the 1930s.

This will open a new chapter in the history of Porsche with more than 20,000 wins in 45 years scored by the extremely successful Porsche 911 in racing trim. The innovative hybrid technology featured in the car has been developed especially for racing, standing out significantly in its configuration and components from conventional hybrid systems. The car features electrical front axle drive with two electric motors developing 60 kW each supplements the 480-bhp four-litre flat-six at the rear of the 911 GT3 R Hybrid. A further significant point is that instead of the usual batteries in a hybrid road car, an electrical flywheel power generator fitted in the interior next to the driver delivers energy to the electric motors
