2013 Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-Spec

I was on the VIP list to receive the first 2013 R-Spec Genesis Coupe in Jersey. This is just a quick overview of when I went to pick it up. I had them install an aftermarket sunroof into it because the R-Spec does not come with one and I wanted one for the summer weather. Traded my 2011 R-Spec for it The video breaks up at the end, but the other genesis you see being parked was my 2011 genesis.

Rebadging my Genesis Coupe (Custom Wing Emblem)
Decided to rebadge my Genesis Coupe. This shows install of the front and rear wing emblem... although my approach changed halfway through the start of the front emblem. This is my first attempt at trying to do any sort of car mod.. try your best not to laugh. :) I learned how to do this by watching Casey at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiylTNVA828 You can buy these from ImportShark http://www.importshark.com/store/categories.php?cat_id=12

2013 Scion FR-S vs. 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Comparison
The affordable sports car shootout. AutoGuide asks the question: which affordable rear-drive sports coupe is faster, the Scion FR-S or Hyundai Genesis Coupe? And does faster mean the most fun? http://www.autoguide.com/car-comparisons/2013-scion-frs-vs-2013-hyundai-gen esis-coupe-20t-rspec-2103.html Affordable rear-wheel drive sports coupes, especially those hailing from the other side of the Pacific, have historically been a rather rare breed. But now, thanks to Hyundai and Scion, us regular folk have not one but two inexpensive rear-wheel drive sports coupes to choose from that don't feature big thirsty engines or pony car badges. 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/genesis-coupe/2013/?id=32972 The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is back with a newly redesigned look and upgraded engine choices. The Genesis Coupe has always been lumped into the muscle car category with its front engine, rear-wheel drive platform. But the muscle cars have always held a distinct power advantage until now. The base engine for the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe is a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder. Power is up 30% from 210 horsepower up to 274 horsepower. An upgraded dual-scroll turbo, larger Intercooler, and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing help achieve these better power figures. Fuel economy for the 2.0 liter engine is 21 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. The other engine choice is a direct-injected 3.8 liter V-6 which produces 348 horsepower. Fuel economy for this engine is expected to be 18 MPG in the city and 28 MPG in the highway. There are two transmission choices available in the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe: an 8-Speed automatic or a 6-speed manual. On the outside the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe retains the same overall shape but the styling has been changed to reflect the rest of the Hyundai line-up. Up front the Genesis receives a more aggressive look thanks to an upgraded hood with two scoops, new front fascia, and larger bumper opening. Out back the Exhaust gasses exit out dual asymmetrical chrome pipes. The lights have been upgraded to include LED daytime running lamps which can be found on high end luxury cars. The R-Spec and Track editions will receive huge 19-inch alloy wheels. On the inside the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe features an available 360-watt Infinity sound system. There are steering wheel controls for the audio system and the usual iPod, USB, and auxiliary ports. A navigation system can be purchased as an option that includes a 7-inch touch screen monitor. The rear seats have been designed with comfort in mind. Instead of stuffing 3 seats in the rear; Hyundai has decided to go with only two. This means there is a ton of room for the rear occupants. When the Hyundai Genesis Coupe arrived on the scene a few years ago it was certainly a respectable car. In fact it was this car and the sedan version that really gave Hyundai a Boost in the automotive world. Now with the 2013 model there is more power! The base model 2.0 liter Hyundai Genesis Coupe starts at $24,250 and the top of the line 3.8 liter with the track package will retail for about $33,000. Hyundai thinks the 2013 Genesis Coupe can go toe to toe with American built pony cars. Will it get the car a seat at the party? Bumper2Bumpertv has a look at what is being offered.

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T
The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe gets some significant powertrain upgrades on its four- and six-cylinder engines, but it's on the four-cylinder that the mechanical changes make the most difference, according to Cars.com Editor Joe Bruzek. The added power -- along with the suspension improvements -- make the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T a compelling option against the likes of the new Scion FR-S and Subaru BR-Z, Bruzek says.

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 R Spec Test Drive & Sport Compact Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/genesis-coupe/2013/3-8-r-spec-(m6)/?id=329 72 The Korean automaker Hyundai has come a long way with the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 R Spec. The fuel efficient automaker used to be know for getting great gas mileage, but the refreshed Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 R Spec is an enthusiasts dream come true. Hyundai kick started the 21st century sport compact craze with the original Genesis Coupe, and while it was a breath of fresh air from the 100,000 mile warranty car builder, at the time the rear wheel drive sport compact felt a bit heavy. However the refreshed 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe not only looks better, but thanks to gasoline direct injection they make a whole lot more power as well. Starting at $28,750 the 3.8 R Spec comes exclusively with a six speed manual that is connected to the torquey 3.8 Liter Lambda V6 and rides on a set of staggered 19 inch wheels wrapped in stick y Bridgestone Potenza tires and house a set of big red Brembo brake calipers. The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 R Spec is motivated by a large 3.8 Liter GDI V6 that produces 348 HP at 6,400 RPM and 295 lb-ft of torque at 5,300 RPM. Despite the added power the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe R Spec still gets great gas mileage, rated at 18 MPG in the city and as much as 27 MPG on the highway. The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 R Spec is quick too, accelerating from 0 to 60 MPH in 5.9 seconds and keeps on going though the quarter mile in 14.3 seconds at 98 MPH. From the ground up the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe R Spec was built to perform. The 3.8 R Spec handles great, even with the extra weight up front from the Lambda V6. The 225 wide rubber up front helps point the R Spec around turns while the Torsen limited slip differential makes sure that power is distributed evenly across the 245 series tires out back. The Brembo brake calipers also help to bring things to a halt. On the inside the sport bucket seats hold occupants in place nicely and add a nice touch to the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe R Spec's enthusiast attitude. 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the newly refreshed 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. Keep in mind that the 2.0T we have here is pretty much the entry level model. As the other, more loaded trim levels become available, AS WELL AS the 3.8, I will be doing full presentations on them as well. The new genesis has changed a ton in some areas and remained the same in others. New wheels, new tail lamps and front end are the essential exterior changes, while the interior gets a nice refresh with all new center stack, refreshed gauges, etc. The BIGGEST difference is the improvement for performance in the 2.0T and the 3.8. The turbo runs a new twin scroll turbocharger and cranks out a fantastic 274 horsepower and 275 ft/lb torque making the RWD coupe fly to 60 versus the previous model. 3.8 models now run around 348hp and 295 ft/lb torque, but more will be on that later. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of YouTube! Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T - 19T turbo upgrade - High speed runs - Go Pro HD
This was taken during a street tuning session in my Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T after modifying the Boost map, the bright thing in the lower right is the laptop ;) TD04HL-19T turbo upgrade with supporting mods at 18 psi low end, 20+ psi mid and high end. I was targeting 22 psi but It did not really work out, so it is probably a little slower than before due to a milder low end. I'll make a new map soon targeting 22 psi at 3500 rpm or so and holding it as long as possible. There are several runs, including 0 to 200 kph. I am not launching very hard for 2 reasons: I wanted to spare the clutch, The goal of the session was to log data and tune the engine, not to make the best quarter mile ;) Wind noises come from the passenger window, slightly open to let in the cable from the engine bay to the laptop.
