Travel back with JConcepts to a time when a truck was just a truck. Purpose built, no frills or luxury, just built Ford tough. Officially licensed by Ford, JConcepts introduces the 1979 Ford F-250 Ranger SCT body. Built as they were in the good ole days, JConcepts has brought an essence of the 1979 truck together with the latest offerings in competitive Short Course Racing. With detailed 70's styling, the hood scoop immediately is a standout retro feature which lends itself to the grill, fender and authentic 70's cab styling. JConcepts left no detail untouched on bringing this old / new theme to the SCT crowd and most notably the rear roll bars and front to back horizontal body lines that give the "79" unmatched SCT realism.
Like all JConcepts bodies, performance is always a top priority and the 1979 does not stop short in performance. The 1979 stance has been optimized utilizing dimensional aspects of the other popular JConcepts bodies, the Manta and Raptor SVT. If you want to get tough, look mean and attack the track with a fearless abandon, than jump into the time machine with JConcepts.

Ford Raptor SVT body. With an ever increasing number of SCT trucks on the
market a need for a body that is extremely versatile is in demand. With no
pre-determined marks, JConcepts hits demand with the popular Raptor SVT
SCT-R body. Included mounting templates and guide make body mounting short
work. With confirmed placement on the Slash, Slash 4×4, SC10, Blitz,
Ultima SC, Losi XXX-SCT and Hobao | OFNA Hyper SC, when it comes to the
Raptor SVT body, being versatile is an understatement.
Get ready, JConcepts has reached new ground with the Short Course version
of the popular Ford Raptor SVT body for competition Short Course racing.
JConcepts has hung the acronym SCT-R on the new body with the R giving it
racing credibility. Officially licensed by Ford, the JConcepts Ford Raptor
SVT body is inspired from the ground up as an all-out SCT race body.
The Raptor SVT -- F-150 body by JConcepts begins with the latest in 1:1
truck detail by incorporating the latest treatment in grill and headlight
design, adding street appeal. Front and rear fender flares provide the
clearance necessary to run an assortment of tires and wheels while
maintaining that exclusive design and look.
Extended cab design with recessed side windows, louvers along the front
hood highlight a number of the front-end styling cues. Deep recessed
trim-out locations along the hood and bed area provide ample space for air
relief cut-outs which reduce the parachute / blow-over affect that is so
common in Short Course racing. Short course inspired bed area with

the Choppers and the RocX.
The Choppers are available now and the RocX will be available mid 2015.

asked for an all-terrain alternative aimed toward high-end bashing
performance in the 2.8" dimension. Inspired from some of the most
successful JConcepts Racing Tires, the Choppers have the look, fit and
finish of a hard-core racing tire on steroids. Whether you are an
experienced racer or beginning driver, the Choppers in yellow and blue

RC Painting Tips: Getting a flat / matte finish

Responses to Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Do you have a video of/about _______?
A: Check by visiting my main channel page; hit the channel-specific search
box and enter a relevant keyword (fewer the better)
Q: Why haven't you made new videos in a long time?
A: My local RC track facility was forced to move a long ways away.
Meanwhile, nearly every open space in my heavily populated area (San
Francisco, California region) is *explicitly* off-limits to RCs and
regularly patrolled by rangers and/or police and I've been booted once too
many times. I've got no good place to legally drive & film within a
reasonable distance :(
Q: Will you ever return to the RC hobby?
A: I sure hope so! Plan is to try to buy a house with enough land to build
my own little private track / testing facility, if the real estate market
Q: Why did you disable comments on your existing videos on this channel?
A: You know, *most* RC hobbyists are cool folks. YouTube though, harbors
an extraordinarily large population of the most vitriolic, extremist,
hyper-fanboys who make it their life's purpose for weeks at a time to
develop and then spread the most ridiculous fabricated stories to try to
tear down a guy who happened upon a little success & popularity as a result
of working hard & sharing something he loves to do. I'm not into that.
Normal human beings who want to chat up a storm about RCs can do so on the
forums where there's a sense of community as well as accountability.
Q: Is URC (which stands for UltimateRC.com) dead?
A: Silliest question of all time, hands down. Visit
http://UltimateRC.com/forums & hit "View New Posts" for your answer!
Q: With RC testing on the backburner, are you doing anything instead?
A: I've merely shifted from one type of toy to another! Check out
http://www.JANGBRiCKS.com . With the same level of dedication I previously
applied to RC, I've built YouTube's most-viewed narrative review channel
for LEGO & other brick-based building systems. LEGO is the world's single
most popular toy for ages 2 to 100 and has a remarkably positive &
supportive global fanbase. Like with RC, what outsiders think of as "just
kids toys" is actually a vast & diverse world of often very complex builds
& challenges. Unlike with RC, though, all of the parts are compatible,
pieces from the 1970s are still fully usable today, and there are no rain
cancellations or surprise track closures or park rangers to contend with :D

I visited the Grove Racing Center at Hobby Stop in Rock Hill, SC on this

could capture in about 20 minutes. Hope you enjoy!
Chevy C10 Scalpel Body by JConcepts
Speed is everything; it's the greatest gift of R/C and particularly with
the Traxxas Slash 4×4.
An extremely popular off-road truck, the Slash 4×4, has all the components
of an absolute beast of an on-road vehicle. JConcepts own design, the
Scalpel, and front bumper conversion, convert the Slash 4×4 into an insane
speed-run machine. Take on your personal salt-flats, drag strip or closed
circuit course with power, speed, agility and style with JConcepts.
The 1972 Chevy C10 truck body by JConcepts is a perfect complement to the
Scalpel Speed-Run conversion kit for the Slash 4×4. Officially licensed,
the C10 boasts a wide-body stance which allows it to tame high-speeds while
showing off that all important retro look from the 1970's. Large front
chin-spoiler with maximum impact grill treatment leaves the competition
green with envy.
Large fenders allow plenty of clearance for the 2.8" G-Locs tires and the
C10 roof-line stands firm. A shallow bed area gives the truck-like
appearance while maintaining that all inclusive speed-line structure.
Finishing off the body is clean and smooth with the inclusion of grill,
headlight, taillight and miscellaneous logos that make the C10 look the
part. Throw it back in time, grab a Chevy C10 for your Scalpel conversion
kit and blast into the future.
