SS Ute Puts the BURN in BURNOUT

Not sure what happened here, but something definitely let go in the fuel system of this Holden ute because it went up in a big way in the Liqui Moly Power Pit. Gotta love the firey stomping out the fire with an extinguisher in his hand - WTF?

13s for $1300 - Project Bluebird - Episode Nine Part-1
Now it's time to race! Because of work Committments I wasn't able to fit the XR6 head, but that's not to say I'm not going to fit it later. With the end of April fast approaching I had to make sure I at least got some passes down the dragstrip. And it was alot harder to get the car running fast than we planned. But it's not all bad either, and that's why there is a Part-2 coming soon. Stay Tuned :)

Scotty's Garage - Top Ten 2012
Here's the Top Ten videos from Scotty's Garage for 2012. These are the top viewed videos from my channel this year as picked by you guys and girls. So what's your favourite? And why? Or is there something you reckon that should have made the list. Let me know in the comments section below.

Summernats 26 - Day Three
Friday at Summernats 26 started with a bang. First up there was the Guinness World Record for Largest Simultaneous Burnout with 69 cars on the pad at the same time, then it was into burnout qualifying with a massive amount of action there. All the while there was constant cruising, show car judging and Dyno (which we'll try and get to today) and then it was time for the unveiling in the Meguairs Pavilion and the Hilltop Hoods on the main stage - and I've got to say it was the first time I'd heard them, but they were AWESOME! Can't wait until Saturday.

YLDTOY Spits Flames at Summernats 26
Plenty of action in the Liqui Moly Burnout Championship at summernats 26. Tony D with YLDTOY was throwing fuel out the cap when it whipped around on the pad, and it didn't take long to light them up. It enough to DQ him. I have no idea what's going on with the front end, it's almost like they decided to run without front shocks.

BLOWN Commodore Ute
Mark Schwirse took a standard SV6 Commodore ute and turned it into burnout monster with the help of the boys from Taverna Brothers Engineering. It's got a 540 big block with a 14/71 and methanol injection, and pumps out more power than anyone needs. But who cares about needs, this is all about wants.

Summernats 26 - Day Four
The action was hot on and off the track today. My plan was to check out lots more than I did on Day four at Summernats but with other duties I ended up missing more than I got. Sorry about the lack of show cars, and cruising etc. The rain certainly put a damper on the nights activities with the PPG Supercruise being cancelled, but they still had the fireworks and finished off with Rose Tattoo.

Summernats 26 - Day One Preview
Yep it's that time of year again. Street Machine Summernats is held in Canberra and it is Australia's biggest horsepower party. This year is set to be bigger than ever with over 1700 cars. We take a look at the new burnout pad and catch up with some of the rides coming through scrutineering.

Great Balls of Fire! BLOWN Has a Flaming Debut
Mark Schwirse debuted his new BLOWN VE Commodore ute on the weekend to the Springnats crowd and it delivered with this crazy flaming smokeshow.

TOASTR Minivan Rolls At Summernats 26
It was all action at the Liqui Moly Power Pit on Friday with TOASTR falling over during Qualifying for the Liqui Moly Burnout Championship. As you can see the driver was okay, stepping out through the windscreen area within seconds of it going over, and yes the gearbox exploded after the van flipped on it's side raining carnage everywhere.

Summernats 26 - Day Two
Day two at Summernats didn't really kick off until midday with the Shannons City Cruise down Northbourne where a good selection of cars cruised in front of 30,000 people they reckon. Then the cruising fired up along with judging and more scrutineering. Unfortunately the EPA knocked the schedule around so we missed out on the burnouts, if there was any to be had. We didn't hear or see any, but we saw plenty of tough rides. Tomorrow is going to go off with burnouts, cruising, go-to-whoa, show 'n' shine, Dyno, the unveiling, Hilltop Hoods and that Guinness World Record Attempt..

World's Biggest Burnout Fire!
Justen Brown absolutely torches his Holden ute at Mallanats with one of the biggest fire shows we've seen. And then he came out in the finals and do it all again.

Summernats 26 - Day Five
Okay guys, sorry for the delay but I needed a short break to unwind after Summernats and had to cach up on some much needed sleep. Here's the grand finale, with the finals for the Dyno and burnouts. Sorry i didn't get much more footage of day five but it was hectic enough getting all this. Hope you enjoyed the videos this year. Remember to SUBSCRIBE so you don't miss a thing.

Summernats 26 Burnout Masters Preview
Who's in and who's out for Summernats 26? It's a kick arse field that will be converging on Canberra in January. Let us know in the comments who you think will win.

Ben Bray's Sidchrome VY Burnout Ute
Australian Top Doorslammer (similar to Pro Mod) pilot Ben Bray might just have too much horsepower in his burnout ute. The 511ci TFX Hemi puts out so much power that he doesn't seem to be able to get on it fully. Throw in a wet track and it becomes more a case of keeping it off the guard rails than making heaps of smoke. Still pretty cool to watch though.

UNLOAD Skids at Summernats 26
How good is this beast. Not only did it make it into the Elite Hall at Summernats but it also hit the burnout pad in style. After this they cleaned it up and put it in the Top 60 Hall for the big show.
