World's Greatest Drag Race 2!
It's back! The World's Greatest Drag Race returns with nine of the world's best supercars, sports cars, and muscle cars for 2012 facing off in an epic quarter-mile sprint for glory... and ultimate bragging rights! This year's field includes all nine contenders from Motor Trend's 2012 Best Driver's Car competition. We have the Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R Black Edition, Ford Shelby GT500, McLaren MP4-12C, Jaguar XKR-S, Porsche 911 Carrera S, Subaru BRZ, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 -- all gathered together on an abandoned airstrip at El Toro Marine Base to find out which car is the fastest. Obviously these nine competitors display a wide range of power and performance, not to mention price tags. So why are we lining them all up again for one gigantic, over-the-top drag race? It's simple... Because We Can!

Ferrari 458 vs Mclaren MP4 Drag Races
Ferrari 458 vs McLaren MP4-12c at Sacramento Dragstrip. Stock, privately-owned vehicles on stock (non-corsa) tires and 91 octane pump gas. No launch control for the 458-MP4 races.
Notes: (1) the race outcomes were determined by traction. Both cars spun through first gear; the Ferrari would also spin on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift (see 1:32) and the driver backed off rather than risk the car; (2) the Ferrari consistently launched better, approximately 0.1 secs in the 60'; (3) the McLaren has more power once it hooks up; gaining 4 mph on the big end of the track vs the Ferrari.
We agree we want a rematch with sticker tires, 93 octane, and launch control. Stay tuned!

Porsche 918 Spyder - On The Road

The video begins with the cover being stripped off the 918, then the 918 starts up and drives to the front of the Lodge at Pebble Beach for the Concours. The video then shows all angles of the 918, both the exterior and interior. And finally, the video concludes with the 918 driving off in all-electric mode into a trailer.
