AEM Intake Installation - E46 BMW 325 - 12 Step Program
http://www.fuelculture.com/aem/cold-air-intake-system-21-672 We take our 2001 BMW 325xi and install AEM intake Part #21-672 (http://www.fuelculture.com/aem/cold-air-intake-system-21-672). Follow this installation to see how easy it is to complete an AEM install on something as simple as your driveway. Here are the Steps we highlight in the video. Step #1- Remove the AEM Intake System (Part #21-672P) from the box and verify all pieces are intact. Step #2- Remove old (or factory) intake. Disconnect the assembly from the vehicle's Mass Airflow Sensor. Step #3- Underneath the intake is a rubber mouth. Unclasp the mount and pull it straight off. Step #4- Secure the AEM Heat Shield using the supplied washers and a 10mm nylok nuts. Step #5- Slip the silicone coupler over the MAF sensor with the supplied hose clamps. Be careful not to over-tighten the clamp. Step #6- Slip the intake piping into the other end of the coupler and tighten the second hose clamp. Step #7- Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack. Support the vehicle using a properly rated jack stand. Step #8- Remove the lug studs using a 17mm socket in order to remove the left front wheel. Step #9- Using a 8mm socket, remove the bolts securing the lower splash guard. Step #10- Attach the rubber mount to the open point under the headlight assembly. Attach the intake bracket using the supplied nuts and washers. Step #11- Install the optional AEM Dryflow Pre-Filter (Part #1-4000). Step #12- Install the AEM Dryflow Air Filter over the secured intake piping using the last hose clamp.
