Ele foi lançado no brasil em maio de 1973, no salão do automóvel em são paulo. O ford maverick é um esportivo cupê "fast-back", onde um amplo capô cobre o motor dianteiro. O perfil tem linhas agradáveis e leves. Mas, esta história está só começando!

Ford Ranger 2.3 2300 - EFI Delete - Carb mod - 8 Plug head
The first ever carbed 8 plug 2300 head I've ever seen. Thanks to my buddy Zach for making this possible. The intake was all a guess as far as runner length and plenum size. I knew I was going for torque and MPG...so we tried to make the runners as long as we could...the rest is just what fit:). The carb is the Motocraft...Autolite 2100 (best carb ever made). Better than EFI if you ask me. Ford had it on lock down with patents untill EFI came out. So simple you could rebuild in the dark. Distributor is a billet procomp pro. Neep Hp plug wires. NGK plugs, 96' ranger headers, no cats just stock muffler, complete EFI removal. Ebay digital gauges, I used a cheap no name ebay fuel pump. The carb was used off a 1965 Mustang and rebuilt with a $16 kit. Thanks again Zach for the aluminum and fabbing skills:) I still cannot believe how good this thing runs. Thank god for 70's engineering:)
