GYMKHANA MINUS 1 - MIKE PATERAS - SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI
Mike Pateras in his 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. Gymkhana Minus 1 video.
This is my 1st official gymkhana video.
We had lots of fun filming this video, however, between the weather not
cooperating with us and some technical difficulties with the car during the
shoot this is what we came up with. We have lots more planned for our next
series of videos to come. Subscribe to my Channel.
First start after rebuild - Subaru Impreza Turbo
Update 01-2012: This car has changed a lot since this video a year ago, so
don't waste your energy on bashing the (stupid) wing and yellow wheels: the
wing is gone, the car is matte green and the wheels are black. See current
pictures and a story here:

Subaru Impreza WRX STI GC8 Antilag Simtek spitting flames
Here is a video i found of a v4 STI running antilag from a Simtek ECU.
From what i remember from the site i found this on its running a 3"
japspeed bellmouth decat to a H&S (haywood & scott) scoobysport 3" back.
Ultra Fast Hillclimb Evos !
Footage of some racing Evo 6 Group sm (protos) from the Lebanese hillclimb
championship. Very fast and noisy 400 bhp+ Evo6 with anti-lag. The blue
(Red Bull) one is driven by Abdo Feghali, Middle east hillclimb champion,
This evo 6 is unbeaten for some years now. These Evos are much faster than standard Group.N Evos, i'll try
to capture what's under their hoods if i'm given the chance. I've been told
that the blue one delivers more than 500 bhp on the Dyno.
Camera work is not perfect, however make sure to enjoy the sound of these
nasty bang-bang and huge turbos, anyway,
thanks for watching. Please rate, comment and subscribe if you like this
600WHP Subaru Impreza STi - Anti Lag and Cyclic Idle in Car Demo
Just put some finishing touches on tuning the anti lag to make it smoother.
Flipping the switch opens throttle plate 20% and engine runs on cyclic idle
@ 1,700rpm. When I step on the gas and engine rpm exceeds 3,000rpm and 30%+
throttle plate opening, anti lag is on. If engine rpm is under 3,000rpm for
5 seconds or more anti lag turns off and goes back to cyclic idle until I
flip the switch off.
At idle with anti lag on it's about 1-2psi Boost at 2,700rpm. Free revving it up I can
reach 5-10psi with no engine load.
BEFORE anyone asks how you get it and if you want it. Anti-lag is EXTREMELY
hard on the engine. You would need forged pistons, and built heads at a
minimum. The valvetrain takes a beating so inconel/super alloy Exhaust valves would be a must as long with
aftermarket valve springs. Also you're going to need a STRONG header.
Explosions are going on in there.
Impreza with Launch control
A proper tyre smoking launch from my impreza wagon on a private road with
Chris Palmer Autos Engine and Simtek ECU. 0-60 in 3.73 secs. this was with
370 hp. if you want to see my new 503 hp wide arch clip then click on this:
2002 STI vs GC8 STI Type RA V-Limited
Test against A WRX STI V-Limited, it was an interesting race, even though I
lost, it allowed me to see that STI up close. I'm not sure if the Exhaust leak in my car might had to do with the
test results, but to make sure, I'll work on that and retry the experiment.
Greetings to the owner of the GC8, very cool guy, thanks again for racing
with me :)
