1973 Shelby Maverick Replica

You won't see many of these! This is a recreation of a joint effort between Shelby and Ford of Mexico and a dealer who thought it would be a great idea. Mavericks were assembled there, so this was a natural for modification by Shelby. New parts were fabricated unique to this car. Noticed the shared tailights with the Shelby Mustang.

At one point I seriously considered buying one of these cars when I first considered a sports car. In a way the best of two worlds..a history of British racing and a nice American Ford V8, oddly enough sold at Chrysler dealers. Chrysler had a relationship with Sunbeam at the time.





My 1972 Mustang Grande..a detailed look, part 1
This video goes over the major details of my renovation...the car was purchased approximately 5 years ago and I had it repainted, reupholstered, and recarpeted. I forgot to mention the new steering wheel I purchased and installed...much better than the thin rim original wheel. I also didn't get the contrasting strip at the bottom of the car very well...same color as the center of the hood.





1961 Corvette Convertible
Really a nice original. A few changes have been made for the better, like a 5 speed manual as opposed to the original 4 speed. Note the great paint and interior, and the duck tail back end.





1965 Mustang convertible
Nice original first generation Mustang! The color was popular at the time. Everything is perfect on this car...a great cruiser. The first year of Mustang production was epoch...no other car had sold so many examples in its first year. A car salesman's dream!

1973 Maverick Grabber 332 Stroker first test drive
This is the first test drive of an 8 month build. It's a very clean 1973 Maverick Grabber that has been converted to a top loader 4 speed. The engine is a 332 Scat Stroker, with Dart Aluminum heads, roller cam, MSD, etc. During the build we also installed an SSBC 4 wheel disc brake conversion. My wife was trying to film the "maiden voyage" and the camcorder batteries went dead. She was relegated to the front porch using the AC adapter. We will get it out on the road for more footage soon....

Maverick 1972 sprint detalles de restauración Interiores:: Tablero nuevo original traído de california. Instalación eléctrica nueva (lámparas, tablero, cerraduras de puertas, etc). Se cambio el parabrisas por uno nuevo original. Se tapizaron las butacas (las originales) en vinipiel como es original, sus asientos deportivos individuales se hicieron a como es original con gajo oculto y placas originales de maverick. Tapas de portezuelas en acabado 100% original con su detalle cromado y emblemas con el singular torito, los emblemas son placas de acero cromado originales. Palanca de serie hurst con su pomo en aluminio. Lámpara de lectura nueva con plafón cromado. Cielo a gajos en vinil con acabado lunar tal como el original. Alfombrado completamente con alfombra PerfilPlast la cual es en un acabado con cerdas enroladas como va en este tipo de vehículos (esta alfombra es de la más costosa y mas resistente además que es la optima para le vehículo) , se alfombro también la cajuela y se hizo un cubre llanta de refacción con una imagen de el toro en plateado) Volante R-1 de aluminio. Sonido envolvente con dos juegos de medios y dos pares de bocinas 6x9 instalación profesional. Tacómetro en el centro. Medidores de volts, amperes, temperatura, etc. Exteriores: Emblema único MAVERICK al frente en su parrilla original. Cintas decorativas plateadas maverick grabber. Calcomanías originales de Grabber. Emblema GT en cajuela (tapa de gasolina) en aluminio original traída de california. Tomas de aire en cofre de GRABBER. Spoiler trasero y remates traseros de GRABBER. Par de Flowmaster Delta-flow y escape doble en acero inoxidable a media luna. Transmisión manual 5 velocidades HURST. Suspensión Delantera y trasera nueva. Resortes frontales nuevos.
