2012 Buick Verano Test Drive & Luxury Car Video Review

http://www.autobytel.com/buick/verano/2012/ The 2012 Buick Verano is a good indication of the American luxury car maker's path towards the future. The decision to set their sights on a younger market can be seen by Buick's new design language, as well as their move towards smaller and more fuel efficient engines. One such vehicle hat benefits from these moves is the affordable entry level Verano. In fact the base price for the 2012 Buick Verano is $22,585. The Buick Verano is built on the same chassis as the Chevrolet Cruise. The 2012 Buick Verano is powered by a direct injection 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic. Fuel economy figures are 21 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. The Verano also features StabilitTrak with Traction Control to keep you safe on the road. Speaking of safety the Verano sports ten standard airbags and was named a 2012 IIHS Top Safety pick. On the inside the 2012 Buick Verano is very comfortable. The car's design is compact but it fits what the vehicle is intended to do. The steering wheel is nice and compact and the integrated controls are right where they are supposed to be. All the materials including the premium ribbon fabric lining many of the interior parts gives the feel of luxury. The wood trim is nice and warm feeling. And the Verano benefits from something called Quiettuning Technology which adds Acoustic Laminated Glass, Triple-Sealed Doors, and better Chassis Dynamics for a much quieter ride for the occupants. The optional GPS Navigation System is a must have. The Verano comes Bluetooth enabled and the BOSE Premium Sound System sounds incredible. 2012 Lexus LS 460L Test Drive & Luxury Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/lexus/ls-460/2012/?id=32972 The original Lexus LS 400 debuted back in 1989 and helped to redefine what a luxury car is as well as where a luxury car maker can come from. Asian automakers are known for customer service, dependability, and refinement; and the 2012 Lexus LS 460L is just as exemplary of what a luxury should be as the original. The base model short wheelbase LS 460 starts at $67,630 with the top of the line AWD Long Wheelbase version bringing the price all the way up to $75,480. The 2012 Lexus LS 460L is powered by a 4.6 liter V-8 engine that makes 380 horsepower and 367 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a slick shifting 8-speed automatic. The powerful engine and transmission help the LS 460L achieve 0-60 MPH in 5.4 seconds. Pretty great for a heavy full-size luxury sedan. Fuel economy is pretty good at 16 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. The LS 460 host a whole bunch of great features and technology. From a driving and performance perspective the 2012 Lexus LS 460L features dual variable valve timing, an 8-speed transmission as mentioned above, variable gear ratio steering, electronic power steering, and direct injection. You can choose between RWD or AWD with enhanced traction control. The Lexus LS 460L has a sophisticated adaptive variable air suspension. This suspension relies on air springs that are controlled from inside the cabin. The driver can choose between three different suspension setting between sporty and luxurious. On the outside the Lexus LS 460L looks the part of a full fledge luxury car. The paint hob features a wet-sanded finish that increases luster and depth. The headlights are HID with an Adaptive Front Lighting Feature. The taillights feature LEDs which are more noticeable than regular bulbs. The sport edition comes with huge 19-inch alloy rims along with a cool sporty grille. The technology found on the Lexus LS 460L is the best stuff that Toyota has to offer. You get dynamic radar cruise control, an advanced parking guidance system, intuitive park assist, SmartAccess, a backup camera, power trunk, touch screen navigation, and more. The great thing about the 2012 Lexus LS 460 is that it has a great resale value and the vehicle is very dependable. 2012 Chevrolet Volt Test Drive & Plug-In Electric Hybrid Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/chevrolet/volt/2012/ The 2012 Chevrolet Volt may be the most technologically advanced and cutting edge vehicle on the market today. Chevy calls the extended range electric Volt the car of the future. The majority of the time the Volt is powered by pure electricity that come from the batteries; but when you exceed the range of the battery pack, its gasoline burning internal combustion engine acts like a generator, kicking in to create electricity. So in a sense the 2012 Chevy Volt is a plugin electric vehicle that also works like a hybrid that can generate its own electricity. The 2012 Chevrolet Volt has a base price of $39,145. The Volt gets its electricity from a 16kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It costs less than $2 to charge a 2012 Chevrolet Volt. The car can run on electricity from the battery for about 35 miles. This makes the Volt a perfect car for those who have a short daily commute. With the gasoline generator creating power, the Volt can go for 375 miles without having to refuel. There are also systems built into the interactive LCD screens in the das that help you drive more efficiently. On the safety side the Volt made it to the IIHS List of Top Safety Picks for 2012. The structure of the Chevrolet Volt is made from reinforced high-strength steel. There are also eight airbags to protect the drive and passengers. The Volt benefits from StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control as well as traction control. These systems help to keep the Volt on the road and the driver in control no matte the road conditions. On the outside the Volt looks pretty futuristic. But the shape of the car was specifically designed to cut through the air with the least amount of wind resistance as possible. With a drag coefficient of 0.281; the 2012 Chevrolet Volt has one of the lowest figures among production cars. The lower the better the more sleek the vehicle is. And the Volt still looks like a sporty car unlike other hybrids that all have the familiar wedge shape. The Volt comes with stylish 17-inch chrome rims wrapped in low-rolling resistance tires that aid in the fuel economy department. 2013 Buick Encore Test Drive & Luxury Crossover SUV Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/buick/encore/2013/?id=32972 The 2013 Buick Encore is an all new model that is poised to take on the compact luxury crossover segment. The Encore combines a chiseled exterior design, versatile interior, with tons of technology and premium materials to create a one of a kind vehicle. The 2013 Buick Encore comes in 4 trims: Base, Convenience, Leather, and Premium. You can opt for either a FWD or AWD version. The base price is $24,200 making the Encore a great choice as an entry level luxury crossover SUV. The compact crossover segment is so hot that Buick has decided to bring this all new model (the Encore) to market. If the Encore looks a little smaller than most crossover you are used to seeing that's because it is. This new compact luxury crossover segment just may catch on. The Encore, like all Buick models, has the big signature grille up front. Buick is no longer at the bottom of the premium barrel, instead it is moving up the ladder. The large bold headlamps and the portholes in the hood are signature Buick cues. When Buick set out to build the Encore, they did not just want to make another crossover. Instead they wanted a relatively inexpensive crossover to look premium. The exterior hits that mark with the multiple bends in the sheet metal and other styling cues, while the theme is carried over to the interior with the premium materials and tons of technology. There is plenty of room in the Encore for 4 adults and their gear. The 2013 Buick Encore is powered by a turbocharged 1.4 liter 4-cylinder ECOTEC engine that makes 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed manual and you can opt for either FWD or AWD. Fuel economy is excellent with the FWD model netting 25 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. From a driver's perspective, the Encore drives very well. Buick has paid a lot of attention to keeping the engine noise and road noise down to a minimum. The Encore feels like a very premium vehicle when you get in it. The Electro-Mechanical steering feels good and is responsive. The interior is very spacious giving the passengers plenty of head room. The soft leather seats and nice dash materials contribute to the overall premium feel which is something you just do not find in a $25k crossover. Buick understands that technology and connectivity is important in this segment. So they made Bluetooth and Rear Vision Camera standard on all trims. But it's the higher trim levels that get the full Infotainment system. The main competition is the Mini Countryman and the Volkswagen Tiguan. For a starting price of under $25k the 2013 Buick Encore makes a ton of sense for a lot of people. Some of the best technology Toyota has to offer can be found on the ES 350. There is an optional Mark Levinson sound system that comes complete with a DVD/CD changer and 14 speakers that provide high end sound acoustics. The voice-activated Navigation is also a really cool feature. Safety wise the 2012 Lexus ES 350 comes packed with 10 airbags including side curtain for the rear passengers.
