my own personal project truck i have had since 2001. i am going with a 99
dodge neon DOHC 2.0 liter with a close ratio 5 speed trans. 97 neon k
frame, and all suspension except for the struts, those are 86 shelby
charger. truck should be fun. 150 horsepower, 7,000+rpm
redline, mid 20's to around 40 mpg. This truck it 200-250 lbs lighter than
a 2 door neon. i will post more as i do more to it. thanks for watching!

Randy's Dodge Rampage Turbo '82 restoration
Randy - 21 year old CNC machine operator from Edmonton - has been
developing a nice hobby since he was a kid - a car restoration.
When he was 16, his dad gave him an old 1982 Dodge Rampage turbo that he previously bought for 500 dollars.
Randy, after couple of months of driving, decided to restore it.
So here is the story when Randy with a little help of his dad turned the
old unattractive vehicle into a great car. It took 4 years of hard work.

Kyle's 1982 Dodge Rampage
This is the Beginning of my project: a 1982 Dodge Rampage. Eventually I
will transplant a new 2.4 turbo motor
and a 5-speed out of a Caliber SRT-4.
1984 Dodge Rampage Red
This was the last year of the two year production of this Omni-Horizon
based truck. It used the 2.2 liter engine and by this time had a 4 speed
manual or 3 speed automatic. The Plymouth Scamp was the same basic truck
offered by Plymouth dealers. Front wheel drive and the small engine
limited it in truck duty, so it really was only a niche player..but still a
cool vehicle. I seldom see any examples today.
The end of an era..
Last view of my project car/truck (1984 Dodge Rampage) known to the world
I was unable to complete the project due to a car accident/spinal injury
(got rear ended in my other ride) And decided I had to let it go..
One of the hardest decisions I've had to make..
bummed to say the least..
A special thanks to the people who helped me with this truck..
Bill White, helped me with alot of stuff..
Johnny Spiva at PolyBushings.com for sponcering me for AutoX to help the
low budget racer make the truck stick when autocrossing
Chris Wright at turbosUnleashed for all
the advise and excellent service.
Chris Roy for helping me out with misc parts for the conversion..
Cindy at FWDperformance.com for putting up with the nickel and dime orders
of "things I forgot"
My other family's at Team Omni, SDML and the RampageRunners mailing list
(yahoo) not to mention the newest little list that SuperDave and I got
rolling, Rampage/Scamp mailing list (yahoo)
I'm a little torn up over this decision and it really sucks to have to get
out of these vehicles and not to complete something I started..
For now, if or until I can get my back fixed I'm going to be laying low..
If I can get back to being my old self, I'll get into another project.
For the time being, I need to focus on medical bills and figuring out how
to get some health insurance so I can get my back checked out..
lame video, but.. well.. it is what it is..
take it easy
