2008 Nissan Titan SE with new APEXI N1 Japanese Racing Muffler
2008 Nissan Titan SE crew cab 2wd
This is a startup/idle/rev and setup video of my new Exhaust.
Exhaust components consist of the following:
-Doug Thorley Long Tube headers
-Cajun catless 2.5in B-Pipes
-Flowmaster 2.5in/3in Y-pipe
-3in piping with:
* two inline Apexi N1 Resonators (3in in/out bottle style)
exiting before the rear axle into an Apexi N1 Muffler, Real Made in Japan, NOT A KNOCKOFF. The muffler runs straight out under the Titan, dumping before the rear axle, however there is no turndown tip, just the stock straight cut 4.5in tip. It sounds beautiful.
I believe this is the first Nissan Titan ever to be equipped with an Apexi N1 (or any type of REAL HKS, Greddy or Blitz style Exhaust).
The VK56DE in the Titan sounds amazing with this new muffler. I was very skeptic at first, but it sounds great in my opinion. The startup/revs/idle do not do justice of the muffler, only when you hear the driveby will you hear the experience!
350Z/G35 owners who do the Vk56 swap, this vid is for you as well, if looking for a good Exhaust setup.
Just wanted to remind, this is a REAL Made In Japan Apexi N1, not an Ebay knockoff. There is a big difference in quality and sound.
WIll be posting fly-by vids soon of this setup.
Nissan Titan Turbo II
Here is the finished system running several months ago. Its obviously taken
from outside the vehicle. This video was predates my video on the toll
road. Like I said I've been finished for months. I'm ready when you are.
Thanks for watching!
2008 Nissan Titan APEXI N1 Exhaust Burnout Drive by
2008 Nissan Titan SE CC 2wd
Quick video of a burnout/launch showing the sound of the new Apexi N1
muffler I'm using under hard acceleration. I'm loving the way it sounds so
much more everyday.
Doug Thorley Long Tube headers
Cajun Catless 2.5in B-pipes
Flowmaster Y-pipe 2.5in/3in into
two inline Apexi N1 "bottle style" resonators into Apexi N1 Racing Muffler
(Made In Japan)
Turn down/dumped before the rear axle.
From searching on youtube, i'm beginning to believe I have the first Titan
and possible the first VK56DE equipped vehicle utilizing a real Japanese
racing muffler such as the APEXI N1.
This muffler is comparable to HKS, Greddy, Tanabe, Blitz etc...
The sound while cruising and idling is very tame, has a nice deep tone.
Once I start going part throttle or more, it opens up and sounds amazing.
Absolutely NO CIS (card in spokes) sound or that rifling sound common with
some Titan Exhaust setups and even on
This is the last Exhaust I will use on
the Titan, and for those who have a 350z or 240sx swapped VK56, this Exhaust would sound great.
I have been thinking of running dual Apexi N1 out the back custom made into
a roll pan still using the Y-pipe but having it split into dual. This is
not for sure yet, just an idea.
The current setup is dumped, and i was very skeptic on running this
''style'' of muffler with its 4.5in tip out the back unless it was dual and
mounted correctly, since being on a truck the 4.5in tip wouldn't look gawdy
or out of place to much.
Remember, if buying one of these mufflers, I can't attest to how an Ebay
knockoff version will sound or hold up do to build quality. As the one I
have is stamped Made in Japan.. so the quality is there!

2014 Nissan Titan PRO 4X Off-Road Drive and Review
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) The 2014 Nissan Titan PRO 4X is a light duty
pickup that is very off-road worthy. The Nissan Titan was introduced in
2004 making it the oldest truck in the segment. The Titan is starting to
feel dated but many of the features that make it the oldest truck also make
it extremely off-road worthy include what is now a much smaller foot print
then competing truck. In another fun and informative TFLtruck video review,
Nathan and Roman take the 2014 Titan off-road in the Colorado Mountains to
see who it drives when the going gets snowy, muddy and rough.
