'01 Cummins 6 speed 1-6
This is a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500, 4x4, extended cab/long bed. It is equipped
with a 5.9L inline 6 (high output) Cummins turbo-diesel engine. In this video, i'm just
bangin' through the gears--- 1st to 6th. I usually start in 2nd gear-- but
unlike the other video, the windows are up. There is no after market Exhaust- just a turn out after the
suicide door. Enjoy.
Transfer-Dump Race: The Complete Run
Mark Tarascou and his Pete 359 is seen participating in a transfer-dump
competiton at the 2011 Truckin' For Kids Truck Show. Although there were a
few glitches, it was still a good show.
For those not familiar with dump trucks like these, they are set up with a
system that allows the driver to back the truck up while they are standing
behind it to make attaching the towbar easier. The driver puts the truck
in reverse gear and shuts the engine off. At the rear is a switch or a
button that is used to engage the starter motor on the engine without
starting the truck. Since the transmission is in reverse, as the starter
motor turns the engine it also turns the driveline and backs the truck up.
I'm not a trucker so I don't know what this system or technique is called,
but that is how it works. Thanks for watching. Please rate and share this
video with your friends. Shot on 9-25-11.
