Subaru Impreza WRX STI on sheet ice
After the snow and ice on 4th Feb, I took the Subaru out to see how it handles on this big sheet of ice. As you can see, it was like an ice rink and just as much fun! Sorry about the quality in some parts - it was all filmed from a tripod, and then used Premiere Pro to move about.

Launch control at 5K on a 2011 STi
Just playing around with launch control at 5000 rpm and traction control turned off. The car has an Invidia catless downpipe, Invidia Q300 catback Exhaust, and an AEM CAI. The car has been tuned by ECS, putting down 303whp and 327 torque. And no, I don't do this constantly with my car, because I like my transmission. :) Btw, this crappy footage was taken with my iPhone. 2006 STi, made 400WHP @22psi with ATP GT3076 Stock location turbo. Perrin FMIC, Grimmspeed EBCS. Flutter in EWG is the way the Boost controller works to achieve perfect Boost control. Sold this car, no longer have it :(

Depois do sucesso registado com a primeira edição do CAM Rali Festival em Dezembro do ano passado, o Clube Automóvel do Minho decidiu organizar uma segunda edição da prova já no dia 5 de Fevereiro. São admitidas todas as viaturas que estejam de acordo com as especificações do Campeonato de Portugal de Ralis, Campeonato Open de Ralis, Troféus Monomarca e todas as viaturas Clássicas, tais como definidas no regulamento do Troféu Nacional de Clássicos Ralis 2012. Prevê-se assim que a adesão seja muito positiva, reunindo-se condições para mais um grande espectáculo com bons carros e pilotos., tal como na primeira edição, num ambiente de grande festa. A fórmula já é conhecida, pois os concorrentes vão ter à sua espera duas especiais compostas pela junção do Circuito Vasco Sameiro e Kartódromo internacional de Braga criando uma especial com cerca de sete quilómetros que será percorrida por duas vezes em cada sentido. No total serão percorridos 30,15 quilómetros, com 28 dos quais cronometrados. As inscrições já estão abertas e decorrem até ao dia 30 de Janeiro, enquanto os reconhecimentos serão efectuados no dia 4 de Fevereiro. Cada participante terá direito a colocar a viatura de competição e uma viatura de assistência no parque de assistência. Terá ainda direito a cinco entradas grátis para distribuir por quem entender. O Team Baia, promotor do Campeonato Intermunicípios Norte 2012, uniu-se à iniciativa e vai pontuar a primeira prova deste mesmo campeonato. Todos os pilotos que efectuem a prova de Rali e queiram pontuar para o CIN 2012 apenas contarão as duas primeiras passagens para ficar em igualdade com os pilotos que efectuarem a prova de regularidade.
