Subaru WRX STi 2004 Godspeed inlet install. like any aftermarket part , your existing modifications will determine what couplers and connectors you will need. A catch can or intake will drastically change the install. this is performed on an otherwise stock PCV system and stock air box and coupler. WD-40 and assorted needle nose pliers ,long flat blade drivers,are some of the tools you need. You will have your own method of seating the inlet to the turbo . Long 90 degree needle nose pliers help with the By -pass valve clamp that faces down. The PCV diagnostic connector can be modified or left alone. The PCV connector is addressed in the video.





How to Rebuild a Turbo - Part 1 of 2
Rebuilding a td05h 16g turbo. This process can be applied to many journal bearing turbochargers. :) It definitely comes in handy to know how to do this when you are in this type of hobby. 4/25/12: Small explanation on the balancing of the rotating assembly since I get so many comments regarding it. This particular turbocharger, td05h, has its rotating assembly components balanced separately. This means each individual part (compressor wheel, turbine wheel/shaft) gets balanced separately. This allows for easy interchangeability of parts in case they need replacing. This is why I am able to install a td05 20g wheel on this turbo without having to balance the entire rotating assembly. THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR ALL turboS OUT THERE. You need to research whether your specific turbo (if it's not td05h) was balanced as an assembly or "component balanced" like I explained above. 2004 subaru WRX STi PCV valve location and cleaning
the 2004 WRX and STi have a different housing and PCV valve than later models. The PCV -positive crankcase ventilation valve allows the crankcase oils and vapors pass through the valve sending it back into the intake track to be burned ,called blow by. The PCV valve can get carbon deposits and cause the valve to stick open or shut closed causing pressure or overflow. The plastic housing on the 2004 is unique and can crack if you remove it, leaving you with a vacuum leak that pulls the oils from the crankcase . This cleaning method lasts for a long time if your valve is not too gummed up .

I built this car in 7 months, I painted it, Built the engine which is now an EJ207 STI short block and it also runs a 6 speed STI gear box now it did have a Full PPG 5 speed dog box but we changed it as it was just to race spec for the road. It runs a vf22 and makes 197kw at 18PSI.





Hella Supertone Install - 2004 Subaru WRX
Here is a how-to video for installing Hella Supertone horns in a 2004 WRX. The horns are a universal part, however these instructions are specific to the WRX. I didn't install the included relay as it isn't really needed for this car. These horns are a night and day difference over the factory units, much louder and a more noticeable tone that is great for grabbing other drivers attention. Install time was approx 45mins, shouldn't take more than 1.5hrs.

2010 Subaru STi Kartboy shifter bushings install
Installed the Kartboy front and rear shifter bushings on my 2010 STi and made a little video, hope this helps anyone thinking of doing this. Love the precise feel of the shifts, definitely an increased "whine" coming from the polyurethane bushings (not too bothersome), really only noticeable in 1st-3rd gear and who drives that slow anyway.

Currently I am running an OTS Stage 2 map and will be getting the following - -Invidia catless downpipe -ProcessWest TMIC -GrimmSpeed EBCS -Tial 44mm EWG Kit -Protune COBB Tuning SoCal estimates that I will be making anywhere from 300-330AWHP and 390TQ. I'm pretty excited to see how it runs and to feel the power difference! Also, as I was filming my PassPort 9500IX caught a Highway Patrol that was scanning on the freeway, he ended up being behind me which is why the radar kept going off so much.
