Spoon had used blue/yellow color on their race cars for 25 years. But starting from 2012 season, they had decided to change this tradition - which means we'll never see their S2000, NSX or any other Hondas looking like this.
The car in this video is 2012 Spoon S2000 Race Car at Fuji Speedway, shot on the day the team had performed all of their pre-testing menu 2 weeks before their first race in 2012. It was the last day we can see the "traditional Spoon color" on race track.

[Who's Yamano?]
Yamano is one of the top drivers in Japan. He's won 3 championships in Super GT GT300 class - 3 years in a row, in 3 different teams, and 3 different cars (NSX, MR-S, RX-7). That's why when Subaru first came to race in Super GT in 2007, Yamano was picked as their driver. It hadn't been easy though - RWD modded Impreza, nor 4WD Subaru Legacy had too many natural disadvantages. But having struggled for 5 years with Subaru, Yamano (and Subaru) had surely developed a race car that could win.
In 2012, Yamano as a BRZ GT300 driver owes a huge responsibility and pressure to win the race. And as well as the race car, he's also purchased a BRZ for himself to compete in All Japan Gymkhana Championship this year. There is no doubt he is the Mr. BRZ.

This was a special presentation of that infamous car for the members of the GTROC (www.gtroc.org) during the GTROC Japan Tour 2012.
The TRUST company was so kind to invite the GTROC to come and visit the TRUST facility and have a first hand look at the unbelievable GTR 35RX Bensopra.
Just a few days after we stood around the car at the Tokyo Auto Salon we had this great opportunity to watch the car exclusively...but not only were we allowed to watch at every detail, no we were even invited to take a seat in the ultra tight race seat and hit the throttle of that monster.
