sharing with youtubers, driving modern heavy vehicles.Today I'm in an 2007 FM12 Volvo, fitted with Volvo's own electronically controlled 12 speed automatic/semi automatic clutchless gearbox.
I must admit I didn't like the Idea at first (I'm a roadranger man myself), but after spending a couple of days with this, I was hooked, real bit of trick gear, others European truck manufactures have similar concept's (likely sourced from ZF), HEAPS more drivable than the self shifting Roadranger, faster and smoother than the 'BENZ.
Manual volvo transmission.
Changing from 1st to 12th gear in a 02-03 Volvo FM9 300 manual.
Shifter got same patterns in the Volvo FH series too.
It's a 3 speed shifter with split and range buttons giving it a total of 12 regular forward gears and 4 reverse gears.
It also got 2 crawler gears (labeled as C on the shifter).

THE DOORS ARE OPEN. JUST HAVE A CLOSER LOOK AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO PLEASE. Backing up in a tight place. One of the most challenging places for a delivery up to now. Sure it's not blind side but still !

Shifting gears, 12 speed Mercedes Benz
This time I'm a a 2644 M/Benz with a 12 speed auto/semi auto gearbox.
This gearbox allows the driver to choose from 3 different configurations;
Full auto, Truck selects what gear when.
sequencial semi/auto, Drver selects gear - can only go one gear at a time (up or down).
semi auto, Driver choose WHEN to change gear truck chooses WHAT gear to go to

Well some subscribers have told me I should do a Tutorial. I've thought about it. I'm still thinkning about it. But I thought I'd put feeler videos out to see the reaction.
