Mercedes M119 V8 Engine Inspection Part 6: Spark Plug Removal, Inspection and Replacement
In this video Kent continues his series on inspecting a M119 engine. These
were the big 4.0, 4.2 and 5.0 V8's built by Mercedes during the 1990's.
Many consider this one of the best engines built by Mercedes Benz. That
does not mean you can ignore it. If you get a Benz with one of these
engines you must inspect it carefully and the spark plugs should be high on
your list. Why spark plugs? Kent will explain the three reasons why (even
if someone has recently replaced the plugs) and show you some real good
examples of potential problems. He also shares a few tips that will help
you safely remove and replace the spark plugs in your own engine.
Crazy Blown V8 Merc - DEBENZ
Guy's 1969 Mercedes 280S is one quick old school Mercedes. A supercharged
small block 7L V8 is a bit of a giveaway but apart from that the car still
resembles a factory body.

Mercedes 560 SEC AMG: Something Out of This World
Respected as it is, the AMG brand has come to be regarded as a premium
Mercedes-Benz trim. It was not that long ago, however, that an AMG was
something more -- a hand-assembled blend of luxury and sport that catered
to an owner's every whim. Nothing showcases that more than auto designer
Kahren Arakelyan, the owner of this daily-driven 1988 560 SEC AMG. First
impressions mean everything -- and it was the impression from seeing a
Mercedes in Soviet Armenia that made Kahren a dedicated Benz enthusiast.

1976 Mercedes 450 SEL Sbarro Gullwing Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the ultra rare 1 of 6 1976
Mercedes 450 SEL Sbarro Gullwing. A custom built car by swiss coach
builder franco sbarro. There were about 28 produced in all when combined
with the optional Bi-turbo 5.0, the 6.9
V8 was much more limited as stated earlier. Recently completed a 5 year
restoration, this was one of the more unique examples of extravagant
styling of the 70s. It has been fitted with aftermarket wheels, BUT ALSO
this car is not lifted, it has an adjustable suspension that controls the
vehicle's ride height. That's why it may look higher than it really is. I
take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car
while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling
cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it,
start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough
tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall
appreciation of the vehicle.
