Rolling drag race between BMW M3 Competition e46 vs Cadillac CTS-V at an air strip. This was a 1/4 mile run which I believe was a start at 60km/hr.
The BMW E46 M3, first introduced in 2000 and was equipped with the new 3.2 L S54 M-tuned power plant. At the time of the car's introduction, this engine had the highest specific output naturally aspirated engine ever made by BMW (excluding the McLaren F1), which produced 343 horsepower (256 kW) and 365 N·m (269 lb·ft).
The Cadillac CTS-V is a high performance version of the CTS. It is a mid-size car with a pushrod V8 OHV engine and a sport suspension. From 2004 to 2005, th CTS-V was power by a 5.7 L LS6 V8 with 400 hp (298 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 395 lb·ft (536 N·m) of torque at 4,800 rpm. In 2006 to 2007 was upgraded to a 6.0 L LS2 V8 which has 400 hp (298 kW) at 6,000 rpm with the peak torque of 395 lb·ft (536 N·m) at 4,400 rpm.
