The 'War Horse' Tank
The Tank Museum has obtained the tank used in Steven Spielberg's new World War One blockbuster Warhorse.
The fully operational replica of a British Mk IV tank is set to go on display when the film is released next week, and will also be used in the Dorset based Museum's tank displays later in the year.
The full sized replica was based on the Museum's own Mark IV, which was built in 1917. OSCAR award-wining special effects company Neil Corbould Special Effects LTD, whose credits include Saving Private Ryan and Gladiator, visited The Tank Museum in 2010 to take measurements from the vehicle and copy original documents related to the MK IV tank held in the Museum's Archive.

2012 Chevrolet Sonic Kick Flip
MTV-reality and action sports-star Rob Dyrdek successfully performed a kick flip in the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic on Saturday.
A kick flip -- a 360-degree rotation in mid-air -- is a common stunt on a skateboard. Not so much in a vehicle. But Dyrdek, host of MTV's Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness, and the Chevy Sonic are up for trying 'firsts.'
"A kick flip with a Chevy Sonic was a no-brainer," said Dyrdek. "I am a Chevy guy from my '69 Camaro to the Tahoe I drive every day. The Sonic's power and sportiness made it the perfect vehicle for this awesome stunt."
Dyrdek performed the stunt before spectators at Six Flags Magic Mountain, while MTV filmed the feat for the Season 5 premiere of Fantasy Factory. Dyrdek executed the kick flip over the world's-largest skateboard that he created for a previous stunt.
"With his outrageous personality and his willingness to try any adventure once, Rob Dyrdek was the perfect match for the Sonic and our 'Let's Do This' campaign," said Kevin Mayer, director of Chevrolet advertising and sales promotion.
The Sonic brought safety chops to the stunt with a Top Safety Pick designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, 10 standard air bags and high-strength steel as part of its body structure.
"I was confident that it would keep Rob safe even during a high-speed action stunt," said Mayer.

DETROIT -- The suggested retail price of the all-new 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS with a six-speed manual transmission begins at $20,995, including destination. Sonic RS with the available six-speed automatic transmission starts at $22,280.
The performance-inspired RS amplifies the Sonic's youthful style and driving experience, with unique exterior and interior features. It is offered exclusively as a five-door hatchback that delivers generous rear-seat roominess and cargo space -- up to 47.7 cubic feet (1,351 liters) with the rear seat folded.
Sonic RS is powered by an Ecotec 1.4L turbo engine rated at 138 horsepower (103 kW) and 148 lb.-ft. (200 Nm) of torque. Unique transmission gearing in the six-speed manual, or a 3.53 final drive ratio for automatic-equipped models, enhances the car's sporty feel.
Production begins in October at General Motors' Orion (Mich.) Assembly Center, which received a $545-million investment in upgrades and retooling, helping create or retain approximately 1,800 jobs in the metropolitan Detroit area. Sonic is the only subcompact built in the United States.

The front fascia of the Sonic RS has a deep air dam design that enhances the car's road-hugging stance. Vertical intakes at the edges of the fascia reinforce the wide, low proportion and house the fog lamps. Other features include:
