Audi R8 GT: Part two
The huge rear wing, stripped-out interior and slick tyres on the R8 LMS make the more subtle R8 GT seem humble in comparison. While these cars are aimed at different audiences and environments though, they both share the same chassis underneath.
But just how much faster is the race-bred machine than the harder and faster road warrior?
In part one of our video review last week, Jack Rix got behind the wheel of the new R8 GT. But for part two we visited Blyton Park racetrack in the North of England and handed the keys to both cars over to Marino Franchitti - professional racing driver and sports car specialist. The results are nothing short of spectacular.

Stan and Cap's first time on track and first outing for the Mk1 MX-5 we were in. Engine is completely standard but it has different shocks, geo setup, tyres, TR Lane half cage and buckets/harnesses.
Great day out as always - special thanks to the chap who broke our steering lock at the start of the day. Nope, not joking, I left the keys 120 miles away so we had to effectively hotwire the car to get it started!

Video of my first track day at the newly reworked Blyton Park. Richard's done a great job here, the track has a good variety of stuff and is surprisingly challenging!
I managed 85 trouble-free laps, no queuing or problems with traffic - great day!
