2012 Volvo C30 Polestar Performance Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/volvo/c30/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Volvo C30 coupe is a lot of fun to drive. Volvo is known for being one of the world's safest car manufacturer. Most of their line-up consists of sedans and crossover utility vehicles and the C30 is the only coupe in their line-up of vehicles. The 2012 Volvo C30 has a base price of $24,950 with the top of the line R-Design Platinum costing $31,850. But you can add a factory performance upgrade called the Polestar package for under $2000 that will Boost performance significantly.
Volvo did not hold back when it came to powering the C30. Under the hood live a turbocharged 2.5 liter inline 5-cylinder engine that makes 227 horsepower and 236 lb-ft. of torque. Transmission options are a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. Fuel economy is pretty good for a high performance engine as the 2012 Volvo C30 nets 21 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. The vehicle featured in this car review video has the $1295 Polestar Performance Package equipped. This package is essential an engine tuner software that adds 23 HP and 37 lb-ft. of torque without sacrificing fuel economy. Also the Polestar Package will not void the factory warranty.
From a styling stand-point the 2012 Volvo C30 really stands apart from the crowd. This coupe appeals to a broad range of car buyers: men and women both young and old. When you opt for the 6-speed manual transmission the fun factor really goes through the roof. On the inside the interior has a very simple Scandinavian look and feel to it. You can even opt for a 650 watt premium sound system. The Volvo C30 is packed with tons of safety features like Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control, and a Whiplash Protection System. In fact the 2012 Volvo C30 was named a Top Safety Pick for 2012 by the IIHS.

2012 Scion xD Test Drive and Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/scion/xd/2012/ The 2012 Scion xD is a car that has
been marketed to the younger generation since its inception. But the xD is
more than just a sub-compact teenager car. Instead the Scion xD is
affordably priced, it gets solid fuel economy, it looks good, and comes
packed with a ton of standard features and options; making it an appealing
vehicle for a broad spectrum of car buyers. And the best part if the 2012
Scion xD only costs $15,345.
The best thing about the Scion line-up is that all the vehicles they make
are pretty hip and sporty. They all drive well and get excellent fuel
economy. The second best thing about the Scion brand is that they are a no
non-sense company. Meaning they offer one trim level per vehicle. So the
Honda Accord or Ford F-150 for instance can have up to 30 different trim
levels. Not so with the 2012 Scion xD. There is one model available with
either a manual or automatic transmission. From there you can add on tons
of options for the engine, suspension, interior, and exterior. Toyota
Racing Development (TRD) makes tons of parts for the Scion xD which can be
ordered directly through the dealership. Want a cool performance Exhaust or sport air filter? TRD makes those.
Want to lower your ride and add stiffer suspension components? No problem
as those can be bought and installed from any Scion dealership. The options
for exterior, interior, and performance modifications are numerous. In the
end you can have a very unique automobile right from the factory.
The 2012 Scion xB is powered by a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces
128 horsepower and
125 lb-ft. of torque. Not a whole lot but this is a sub-compact car and it
does not take much to get it going. Also remember the xD is quite
inexpensive so you cannot expect to have a high powered motor. The small
engine makes for great fuel economy with the 2012 Scion xD netting 27 MPG
in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The Scion xD comes standard with
many great features like air conditioning, power everything, cruise
control, keyless entry, a Pioneer audio system, Bluetooth, and HD radio.
The 2012 Scion xD is also very safe getting top ratings in 12 of the 13

2012 Volvo XC70 Station Wagon Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/volvo/xc70/2012/?id=32972 Volvo has been making
station wagons for decades. The 2012 Volvo XC70 is the latest in a great
line-up of safe vehicles. The XC stands for cross-country meaning this
station wagon has all-wheel drive and can go practically anywhere and do
anything. The great thing about the 2012 Volvo XC70 is that from the rear
seats forward it is essentially a sedan offering you tons of comfort and
luxury. But the wagon style rear gives you tons of cargo room. In fact the
XC70 offers 72 cubic feet of cargo room. The base price for the 2012 Volvo
XC70 is $32,950 with the T6 Platinum AWD model going for $43,650.
There are 2 different engines choices available on the 2012 Volvo XC70. The
first is a 3.2 liter inline 6-cylinder that produces 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft. of
torque. Fuel economy for this engine is 19 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on
the highway. The other engine choice is a more powerful turbocharged 3.0 liter 6-cylinder that makes 300
horsepower and 325
lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is a bit lower at 17 MPG in the city and 23
MPG on the highway. But the increase in horsepower is well worth it.
When it comes to safety the XC70 is packed with the latest and greatest
technology from Volvo. There are a myriad of airbags on the XC70 including
side impact airbags for the driver and front passenger as well as
inflatable curtain airbags for the rear occupants. A Whiplash Protection
System is built into the seats as are seatbelt pre-tensioners. The 2012
Volvo XC70 comes equipped with ABS and an Emergency Brake Assist System.
The Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control Systems work to keep the
XC70 safely planted. When off-roading the Hill Descent Control system helps
to keep the vehicle under control. The XC70 feature high ground clearance
for a station wagon and most models come standard with AWD although you can
opt for the FWD only system too.

2012 Nissan 370Z Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/nissan/370z/2012/?id=32972 The Nissan Z Car has
been around since the early 1970's under the Datsun name. For year the Z
has been one of the most beloved affordable sports cars both here in the
United States and in Japan as well. The 2012 Nissan 370Z is considered the
Mustang of Japan since the
drive train configuration, price, and body style is similar to that of many
American muscle cars. The 2012 Nissan 370Z has a base price of $31,910 with
the top of the line Touring Roadster costing over $44,000.
The 2012 Nissan 370Z is powered by one of the best engines every produced
by Nissan. The VQ37VHR is a 3.7 liter V-6 engine with Variable Valve Timing
that produces 332 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of
torque. A 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission puts the power
down to the rear wheels. The 2012 Nissan 370Z can achieve up to 19 MPG in
the city and 26 MPG on the highway.
The 370Z is considered to be the little brother of the mighty Nissan GT-R.
It is smaller, costs less, and does not have as much power. That being said
the 2012 Nissan 370Z does benefit from having the GT-R as an older brother
in that some of the high end technology and options have been passed down
to the 370Z. The first thing you notice are the huge 19-inch RAYS sport
rims. These forged alloy wheels are not only strong but they are also
lightweight. The 370Z also sports a sleek body with functional spoilers
both front and rear. In the performance department the 2012 Nissan 370Z has
a viscous limited-slip differential which makes sure power is transferred
to the wheel that needs it the most. Also the Nissan 370Z features a
SynchroRev Match system which automatically blips the throttle to promote
faster and smoother shifting
The 2012 Nissan 370Z is an excellent sports car. It may be a little rough
around the edges and a little on the pricey side, but if you want a true
Japanese sports car with over 300 horsepower and rear-wheel
drive, then the 370Z is an excellent choice.

Let's Talk Cars - 2012 Volvo C30 R Design Review Test Drive
Miami's Community Newspapers Presents "Let's Talk Cars" Featuring
automotive editor, Ron Beasley.
The Volvo C30 is a two-door hatchback that's sporty, functional and has a
lot to offer in the way of standard equipment.
The C30 has been around since 2007 and shares most of its mechanicals with
the Volvo S40 sedan. But it has less standard equipment, making it Volvo's
lowest priced vehicle.
The C30 was restyled last year with a new front fascia, new fenders, a new
honeycomb grille and new trapezoidal headlights. So there is no design
change for 2012.
Two new trim levels have been added to complement the base T5 and R-Design
models - Premier Plus and Platinum. Premier Plus adds a power glass
sunroof, power driver and passenger seats and LED daytime running lights.
Platinum adds more technology, including all the features of Premier Plus,
and a 10-speaker, 650-watt Volvo Premium Sound System with Dolby Pro Logic
II surround sound, a navigation system with real time traffic and Sirius/XM
With its compact size, smart design and peppy turbocharged five-cylinder engine, the Volvo C30
really is run to drive. With its relatively wide front and rear tracks and
long wheelbase, it has exceptionally stable driving characteristics.
Under the hood, there's a 227 HP 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine. It's mated to
either a standard six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed geartronic
automatic with the auto-stick function.
The front-wheel drive C30 gets pretty good fuel economy at 21 miles per
gallon around town and 30 MPG on the highway.
The C30 T5 comes standard with a healthy roster of standard equipment,
including dynamic stability and traction control,
Volvo's side impact protection system and whiplash protection seating
system, T-Tec upholstery, a leather gearshift knob with aluminum inlay,
cruise control, a high performance 160-watt audio system, iPod/USB and
auxiliary inputs, High Definition radio, and Bluetooth integrated
Other enhancements for all c30s include a standard center armrest for rear
seat passengers and standard security alarm. A new exterior color has been
added -- Caspian blue metallic.
Pricing on the Volvo C30 T5 ranges from $24,950 to $31,850.

"The 2011 Volvo C30 isn't your typical "hot hatch." Sure, it's got a
powerful turbocharged engine and an
available sport-tuned suspension, but this Swede is about a lot more than
just speed. Don't get us wrong -- the C30 actually drives nicely and has
more dynamic capabilities than most drivers will care to exploit. But with
its chic interior and a classic hatchback design that evokes Volvos of
yore, the C30 is also the closest thing in this segment to automotive art."
