The vehicle featured in this car review video has the $1295 Polestar Performance Package equipped. 2012 Ford Edge 2.0 Liter EcoBoost Test Drive & Crossover SUV Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/edge/2012/ The 2012 Ford Edge is the perfect
vehicle for those who want utility but not in the form of an SUV or Station
Wagon. Instead the Ford Edge is a Crossover Vehicle that showcases some of
Ford Motor Company's most forward thinking designs. Up front the big chrome
grill blends in nicely with the sleek headlights. The rest of the exterior
is quite bold with the big chrome rims bringing the whole package together.
The Edge gets excellent fuel economy and is packed with tons of technology.
The base model 2012 Ford Edge retails for $27,770 with the top of the line
Sport AWD model costing almost $39,000.
There are 3 available engine types equipped on the 2012 Ford Edge. The
first is a turbocharged and direct

torque. Fuel economy for the EcoBoost engine is excellent at 21 MPG in the
city and 30 MPG on the highway. The second engine is a 3.5 liter V-6 engine
that makes 285 horsepower and 253 lb-ft. of
torque. Fuel economy for this engine is 19 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on
the highway. The third engine type is a larger 3.7 liter V-6 engine
producing 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of
torque. This larger engine gets 19 MPG in the cit and 26 MPG on the
On the inside of the 2012 Ford Edge there is a plethora of new Ford
Technology that has been compared to many high-end luxury car
manufacturers. SYNC is a wireless connectivity package that allows the

and even receive personalized reports by using voice commands. MyFord Touch
allows you to control many systems and features of the Ford Edge with touch

rest of the cabin is well thought out and the design is very appealing.
On the road the 2012 Ford Edge with the EcoBoost transmission has plenty of power and
loads of torque. The throttle is responsive, the transmission is smooth,
and the steering is tight. All this adds up to a great driving package for
a crossover vehicle. For your money you are getting class leading

4-cylinder EcoBoost engine,
wonderful fuel economy, and a great driving experience.

2012 Scion xD Test Drive and Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/scion/xd/2012/ The 2012 Scion xD is a car that has
been marketed to the younger generation since its inception. But the xD is
more than just a sub-compact teenager car. Instead the Scion xD is
affordably priced, it gets solid fuel economy, it looks good, and comes
packed with a ton of standard features and options; making it an appealing
vehicle for a broad spectrum of car buyers. And the best part if the 2012
Scion xD only costs $15,345.
The best thing about the Scion line-up is that all the vehicles they make
are pretty hip and sporty. They all drive well and get excellent fuel
economy. The second best thing about the Scion brand is that they are a no
non-sense company. Meaning they offer one trim level per vehicle. So the
Honda Accord or Ford F-150 for instance can have up to 30 different trim
levels. Not so with the 2012 Scion xD. There is one model available with
either a manual or automatic transmission. From there you can add on tons
of options for the engine, suspension, interior, and exterior. Toyota
Racing Development (TRD) makes tons of parts for the Scion xD which can be
ordered directly through the dealership. Want a cool performance Exhaust or sport air filter? TRD makes those.
Want to lower your ride and add stiffer suspension components? No problem
as those can be bought and installed from any Scion dealership. The options
for exterior, interior, and performance modifications are numerous. In the
end you can have a very unique automobile right from the factory.
The 2012 Scion xB is powered by a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces
128 horsepower and
125 lb-ft. of torque. Not a whole lot but this is a sub-compact car and it
does not take much to get it going. Also remember the xD is quite
inexpensive so you cannot expect to have a high powered motor. The small
engine makes for great fuel economy with the 2012 Scion xD netting 27 MPG
in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. The Scion xD comes standard with
many great features like air conditioning, power everything, cruise
control, keyless entry, a Pioneer audio system, Bluetooth, and HD radio.
The 2012 Scion xD is also very safe getting top ratings in 12 of the 13

2012 Toyota Prius Test Drive & Hybrid Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/prius/2012/?id=32972 There is really only
one car that comes to mind when the subject of hybrid cars comes up. The
Toyota Prius was the car that changed the game when it came to fuel
economy. The design of the 2012 Toyota Prius is meant to help the car slip
through the air as easily as possible. Less drag directly results in better
fuel economy which is why many hybrid vehicles on the road today have the
same wedge shape as the Toyota Prius. In fact the 0.25 drag coefficient on
the 2012 Prius is one of the lowest figures of any mainstream vehicle.
Toyota engineers have spent countless hours in the wind tunnel so that you
can go further with less fuel. The base model Prius starts at $23,015 with
the top of the line model going for just under $30,000.
The 2012 Toyota Prius is powered by Toyota's famous Hybrid Synergy Drive
System which is comprised of a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric
motor. The Atkinson Cycle engine is good for 98 horsepower and the added
electric motor makes and additional 36 HP bringing the total power on the
2012 Toyota Prius up to 134 horsepower. There is a
Continuously Variable Transmission that helps in the fuel economy
department. The Prius also has a start-stop system and can run on electric
power alone up to 15 MPH. These fuel saving tactics combined with the low
drag coefficient and efficient engine allow the 2012 Toyota Prius Hybrid to
get 51 MPG in the city and 48 MPG on the highway.
You know what you are getting into when you get behind the wheel of a
Toyota Prius. You are going to have full electric operation at low speeds,
a little bit of noise once the gas engine is engaged, and an overall smooth
driving experience. There is nothing sporty or exciting about driving the
2012 Toyota Prius. The main reason you buy one of these hybrids is for the
outstanding fuel economy and the Prius delivers. And if you are looking at
buying a hybrid vehicle the Toyota Prius is still the king.

2012 Volvo S60 Test Drive & Luxury Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/volvo/s60/2012/ The 2012 Volvo S60 has the most
powerful engine Volvo has ever had in a sedan. The turbocharged 3.0 liter inline-6 produces 325 horsepower and 354
lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy for this engine is 18 MPG in the city and
26 MPG on the highway. There is also a smaller less powerful 2.5 liter
5-cylinder that makes 250 horsepower and 256 lb-ft of
torque. Less power and a smaller engine means better fuel economy and the
2.5 liter gets 20 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. Prices range
from $31,150 to $42,950.
From a design standpoint Volvo has really stepped up their game. The 2012
Volvo S60 has everything in its arsenal to compete with other entry level
luxury sedans. There are a bunch of great safety features that come
standard on the S60. On the inside the Volvo keeps it simple and
comfortable. But it's the monster engine that is the best part of the new
2012 S60 luxury sedan.

New Volvos Intense Driving Tests
Hällered, a fenced-in 7 million m² area an hour away from Gothenburg,
Sweden, is Volvo Cars main testing facility. The track stretches 26 km,
consisting of 15 different test tracks designed to simulate every type of
road surface and weather condition a car can be subjected to during its
long life time, including a fully-equipped public highway within the area.
The tests are carefully planned and computer monitored. In just a few
months, cars are aged as much as during the entire anticipated lifetime of
the vehicles in normal traffic, thanks to test drivers working around the
clock. The car's active safety system is also tested at the facility. A
special rig has been developed just to test the Pedestrian Detection system
that should detect pedestrians and apply the brakes if the driver does not
react in time.

Let's Talk Cars - 2012 Volvo C30 R Design Review Test Drive
Miami's Community Newspapers Presents "Let's Talk Cars" Featuring
automotive editor, Ron Beasley.
The Volvo C30 is a two-door hatchback that's sporty, functional and has a
lot to offer in the way of standard equipment.
The C30 has been around since 2007 and shares most of its mechanicals with
the Volvo S40 sedan. But it has less standard equipment, making it Volvo's
lowest priced vehicle.
The C30 was restyled last year with a new front fascia, new fenders, a new
honeycomb grille and new trapezoidal headlights. So there is no design
change for 2012.
Two new trim levels have been added to complement the base T5 and R-Design
models - Premier Plus and Platinum. Premier Plus adds a power glass
sunroof, power driver and passenger seats and LED daytime running lights.
Platinum adds more technology, including all the features of Premier Plus,
and a 10-speaker, 650-watt Volvo Premium Sound System with Dolby Pro Logic
II surround sound, a navigation system with real time traffic and Sirius/XM
With its compact size, smart design and peppy turbocharged five-cylinder engine, the Volvo C30
really is run to drive. With its relatively wide front and rear tracks and
long wheelbase, it has exceptionally stable driving characteristics.
Under the hood, there's a 227 HP 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine. It's mated to
either a standard six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed geartronic
automatic with the auto-stick function.
The front-wheel drive C30 gets pretty good fuel economy at 21 miles per
gallon around town and 30 MPG on the highway.
The C30 T5 comes standard with a healthy roster of standard equipment,
including dynamic stability and traction control,
Volvo's side impact protection system and whiplash protection seating
system, T-Tec upholstery, a leather gearshift knob with aluminum inlay,
cruise control, a high performance 160-watt audio system, iPod/USB and
auxiliary inputs, High Definition radio, and Bluetooth integrated
Other enhancements for all c30s include a standard center armrest for rear
seat passengers and standard security alarm. A new exterior color has been
added -- Caspian blue metallic.
Pricing on the Volvo C30 T5 ranges from $24,950 to $31,850.

The Volvo C30 is aimed at young drivers, and with its sleek looks has few
problems turning heads. The Volvo badge adds prestige over more traditional
hatchback choices like the Ford Focus. Build quality is excellent and the
interior is well laid out and good looking. The downside is that the C30
makes sacrifices for its obvious style as it's not particularly practical,
and is only available with three doors. It makes up for its shortcomings
with a good choice of engines and competitive price tags compared to other
