Corvette Crashes During An AutoCross Event
This is the first time we've ever witnessed an accident at a speed ventures autocross. It was a pretty fast track and it was his first time up since his last break so the tires were pretty cold & so was the track. Unfortunately the driver never touched his brakes after he lost control. He was at the track on 4-9-05 and we think his fuel pooled in his intake manifold and BOOM. BTW, he was using a window switch for his Nitrous, and had the setup professionally installed. All that other BS you hear online is just that. This was a technical malfunction within the system." ---------------------------------------- Audio(Green Day - Good Riddance) had to remove as apparently putting in the video is copyright violation. Texas Mile Corvette Crash - March 2011
The Texas Mile record holder for a Corvette at 224mph! This Corvette was built by Hinson Motorsports - over 1400rwhp I don't have the 224mph pass on video but I caught the 221mph pass. It looks like one of the tires went out and caused the car to veer hard to the right. The driver was ok, he walked away from the crash. As above. They left the connecting chain under the Land Rover's front tire and rolled the power on anyway. Driver is the same from the previous "tow truck driver almost crushes hand" video. Note my wrong call on the safest place to stand. 4-car collision January 11, 2011 Eureka, Ca. This is how the wreck went down: the gray pickup at far right was speeding on a three-lane street. A car in front of him slowed suddenly and to avoid hitting it he swerved into the Mitsubishi, which was parked. The Mitsubishi was forced under the Land Rover, which was also parked. The Rover couldn't move forward due to hitting another parked car in front of it, which had been removed by the time I rolled video.
