Wayne drew the #7 spot for the Gator Run Bounty Hole running order. He
committed and executed the longest duration pull in the pit. This is only a
condensed version of his run. He hammered on his Dodge almost full throttle
for over 15 minutes straight, until a lower radiator hose blew.
More runs on the way...

Classic Car Clinic's MGB raced at the Spa 6 hours using Evans waterless coolant
Classic Car Clinic's MGB raced at the Spa 6 hours on September 22, 2012.
Drivers Jean Michel Guermonprez and Vincent Bokstael.
At 3:00 minutes you can see how Evans Coolant doesn't boil when you open
the radiator cap of an engine that was raced for 3 hours! Don't try this
with a water based coolant or you will get seriously hurt, and your race
will be over! Evans Coolant has a booiling point of 180 degrees Celsius
which makes it perfect for any race- or classic car.

The Magic Midget - MG Racing History
MG was a British sports car manufacturer founded in the 1920s by Cecil
Kimber. Best known for its two-seat open sports cars, MG also produced
saloons and coupés. LIke many manufacturers, MG went racing to generate
publicity and to show off its performance abilities.
From its earliest days MGs have been used in competition and from the early
1930s a series of dedicated racing cars such as the 1931 C-Type and 1934
Q-type were made and sold to enthusiasts who received considerable company
assistance. This stopped in 1935 when MG was formally merged with Morris
Motors and the Competition Department closed down. A series of experimental
cars had also been made allowing Captain George Eyston to take several
world speed records. In spite of the formal racing ban, speed record
attempts continued with Goldie Gardner exceeding 200 mph (320 km/h) in the
1100 cc EX135 in 1939.
After World War II record breaking attempts restarted with 500 cc and 750
cc records being taken in the late 1940s. A decision was also taken to
return to racing and a team of MGAs was entered in the tragedy-laden 1955
24 Hours of Le Mans race, the best car achieving 12th place.
Racing Vintage Cobras, Daytonas & Mustangs at the 2013 Shelby Convention! - HOT ROD Unlimited Ep. 38
By now every car lover knows who Carroll Shelby was, but what makes his
cars so great? To find out, we headed to the Autoclub Speedway in Fontana,
California, where the Shelby American Automobile Club was holding its
annual Shelby Convention. We talked with racers and collectors, and got a
chance to ride in a GT40 with a man who raced for Shelby back in the days,
High Performance Driving School founder, Bob Bondurant. We also were on
hand for the debut of the newly restored Essex Wire Cobra, one of the
winningest big block Cobras ever to compete. We also take a look at what
makes driving these cars special, and why people come from all over the
world to see them in person, and hear them on the track.
HOT ROD Unlimited appears every other Friday on the Motor Trend channel.
