Wearing the requisite Olive Drab paint, these were 45-cubic-inch V-twins
fitted with special equipment for wartime use. Items such as an ammo box,
machine-gun scabbard, and rear carrier are obvious; less so are the special

light in an effort to avoid detection.

Burt Munro's 1920 Indian Scout
This is the 1920 Indian Scout built and driven by Burt Munro. Jay Leno on
commentary. Three times during the '60's it set the World's fastest flying
mile record for motorcycles under 1000cc at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
This is not the reproduction used in the "The World's Fastest Indian"
starring Anthony Hopkins, but the actual bike that set the record.
Fortunately this is the second year of the Concours d'Elegance to feature
motorcycles on the green. This year they featured the salt flat racers and
their contribution to Hot Rodding. I was very lucky to see and hear this
amazing piece of history.

my favorites, and surely will not disappoint any gear head. Anthony's
perfectly cast for the role.

2012 Indian Motorcycles
Here is a look at the 2012 Indian Motorcycles. They look great, and
they're BIG bikes! Indian Motorcycle Company has a big truck full of good
stuff, and they were showing off all of their newest models, based on the
105 cubic inch PowerPlus engine. Polaris owns Indian Motorcycle Company
now, and I hope they will be able to keep it alive for a while. They
definitely have some beautiful Indian Motorcycles to sell.
Indian Motorcycle Company was founded in 1901 by George Hendee and Carl
Hedstrom. Indian Motorcycles went bankrupt in 1953, and since then there
have been numerous efforts to revive the brand and a lot of controversy
over who actually owns the Indian Motorcycles name. Currently, Polaris
Industries owns the Indian name, and they are manufacturing new Indian
motorcycles in their Sprit Lake, Iowa factory.

This 1908 Indian Torpedo Tank board track racer was displayed at the Legend

it's 100 years old and in original condition. A true, unrestored "barn
