AMC 1980 AMX Spirit restoration
This is my 1980 AMC Spirit AMX. I finished restoring this car in July of 2002. This car has new paint,interior,transmission,3:73 rear and a built up 360 AMC engine producing close to 400 hp. I sold this car to finish my 86 Corvette. I miss it very much. This car had the Exhaust turned down towards the ground. It sounded real bassy like rolling thunder. This car was super fast. I took it to the 100th Rambler anniversary in Kenosha, WI in July 2002. With Group 19 AMC club. We also took it to Long Island, New York one summer, and I cruised my old neighborhood. Its sad to say that I sold it to a young man and the car is getting abused. I saw some chips and scratches on it. AMC made awesome engines.

Big Bad Green 1969 AMX walk around. What has occupied my time. Subscribers please read...
Hi everyone. I have gotten some emails from many of you wanting to know if I, and everything was OK on my end. YES! Everything is great, and now that I'm retired from the trucking industry, its even better than ever. Thanks to all of you subscribers for your support, concern and checking out my videos. I posted a new vid yesterday after a 5 months absence. Sorry about that! and treated you all to 3 screaming EMD 567's. They do sound great, and it is a vanishing sound. So I figured I would I would put this clip together to show you all what has had me pre-occupied. We will start out in the "Mancave" with Rick Springfield playing on the CD player, then we will go to the running sounds of this beast, pan over to the wall for the controls of my B&O CPL. Then step outside to get a glimpse of the CPL lit. I was only wishing a CSX train would pass, cause I could literally turn my back on the CPL, and hit a train with a stone. I have been working hard on my 1969 AMC AMX. Things that I have done so far. Removed the huge, stick in my gut steering wheel, for a smaller, flatter steering out of a JEEP. Very helpful for me since I'm 6'3" and my 218 lb. body had a hard time getting behind the wheel. Installed the factory AM/8 track tape player and harness. Installed a restored fuel tank by Moyers Tank in Greensburg, PA. All new oversized fuel lines from tank to carb by InlineTube in Michigan. Also installed a 1/2" fuel sending unit, 100 micron fuel filter, and a NASCAR style mechanical fuel pump all designed and built by Robbmac Performance in Nevada. I also installed a Robbmac mini-starter. Lakewood Drive shaft loop, I put in a 10" 2500 stall torque converter from Continental Converters in California. Headers are Hooker Super Competition coated, and the Exhaust is oversized 2-1/2" running through Flow Master mufflers, and exciting out dual 3-1/2" Gibson Exhaust tips. I installed rear window louvers, and think it really improved the looks of the car. Also installed, new tail light lens, bezels, reflector, and all gaskets. The wheels are American Racing Torque Thrust PVD coated wheels. They are really nice, and its not chrome. It's a powder coat. Running 15x4 on the front with NEXEN tires, 15x8 with BFG's on the rear. I Removed the rear differential and had Greensburg Machine & Driveshaft install new set of Presision Gear 3.73 gears, with a new Auburn posi carrier. All new rear brakes, and complete hardware kit. As you can see at the beginning of the clip, my TSM (Technical Service Manual) is out on the bench. I just changed the right side upper control arms, and the other restored set you see, will be going in on the left side this week. Anyway! That's what has been eating up all my time, and stay tuned for more videos coming in the future. Thanks again everyone for your concerns and well wishes. God Bless and you all have a great day. 1978 AMX Sport Compact Car
The AMC Concord is a compact and economical car by 1970s US standards, produced by the American Motors Corporation for the 1978 through 1983 model years. The Concord replaced the AMC Hornet and to some extent the mid-size AMC Matador, discontinued after 1978 in a market moving to downsized automobiles. Offered in four-door sedan, two-door coupé (through 1982), three-door hatchback (through 1979) and four-door station wagon forms, AMC sought to give its, by this time venerable, compact car an image of luxury, class, and value.[1] The Concord was AMC's volume seller from the time it appeared. The car was available as a sports-oriented two-door hatchback AMX model without any "Concord" badges or identification for the 1978 model year, as well as the Concord Sundancer convertible during 1981 and 1982, an authorized conversion sold through AMC dealers. Feels like a Porsche? Yes. 1969 AMX - /Big Muscle
When the American Motors Corporation (AMC) released the AMX back in 1969 the motoring world didn't know what to make of it. It had two seats like a sports car, a solid live axle and a raucous V8 like a muscle car, and styling that could've gone either way. Owner Jimi Day has been a long time fan of the AMX so when he got the opportunity to construct his own he pulled out all the stops, went buck-ass wild, and built what is arguably one of the best AMX's on the planet Earth.
