AMC 1980 AMX Spirit restoration
This is my 1980 AMC Spirit AMX. I finished restoring this car in July of
2002. This car has new paint,interior,transmission,3:73 rear and a built up
360 AMC engine producing close to 400 hp. I sold this car to finish my 86
Corvette. I miss it very much. This car had the Exhaust turned down towards the ground. It
sounded real bassy like rolling thunder. This car was super fast. I took it
to the 100th Rambler anniversary in Kenosha, WI in July 2002. With Group 19
AMC club. We also took it to Long Island, New York one summer, and I
cruised my old neighborhood. Its sad to say that I sold it to a young man
and the car is getting abused. I saw some chips and scratches on it. AMC
made awesome engines.
AMC AMX vs AMC Spirit
Bracket race between an AMC Spirit 401 V8 automatic transmission and a red

for his father Lyman Eppley who is the owner. This car is fully lubricated
by AMSOIL and won this race.

The Unfortunate History of the AMC Pacer
Behind all the jokes and insults, the AMC Pacer is actually a car with a
great deal of history. It began as radical new design from an underdog
company. In an attempt to combat the big, bland, boxy cars from Detroit's
"Big Three," little American Motors Corporation decided to build something
a little different. Their one-eyed car stylist Dick Teague proposed a
small, wide car with big windows and smooth areodynamics. Americans had
never seen anything like it.
This in-depth documentary tells the true story of the Pacer. Unbeknownst
to many, the car persevered through manufacturing setbacks, government
regulations, and many other troubles. Featuring a ton of old car
advertisements and rare footage of AMC's factory, the film helps paint a
picture of the Pacer's world. Director Joe Ligo sits down with AMC stylist
Vincent Geraci, author Patrick Foster, and television personalities John
Davis and Pat Goss from PBS's MotorWeek.

1981 AMC Eagle SX/4 Sport in the junkyard
Found this in the junkyard today. Pretty good shape for being in the
northeast and being 30 years old. Out of all the AMC Eagles, the liftback
is probably the least ugly, and definitely the most sporty of the bunch. A
book I have shows 17,000 liftback Spirits and Eagles made for '81, but
doesn't break it down, so I don't know how many SX/4s were made, but
probably not many. I've only ever seen one or two on the road in my
lifetime. The kammback is a lot rarer, but waaaay too ugly.
You are viewing a slide show of various AMC Eagles. AMC Eagles are a 4x4
vehicle available in a few body styles and produced from 1980-1988. You can
