Super Sleeper 1972 Nova - /BIG MUSCLE
Wanna race? If so you may want to reconsider. You see this is Dru Diesner's
1972 Chevrolet Nova and it's anything but stock. From a looks perspective
it's nothing special, in fact most people wouldn't put up $500 for this
thing. Look a little deeper though and OH MOMMA! You see under its faded
green paint lurks a twin supercharged LS2 that makes 1,160 hp... at the
rear wheels. It epitomizes the term "sleeper", and is lethal to just about
every other road going vehicle it comes in contact with. Big Muscle
recently visited Northern Chicago to get a sample of this beast, and holy
crap was it one of the best automotive experiences we've ever had.
454 BBC replaced with SSRE 582 - Dyno Run #1
Out with the old (454) in with the new (582). This is the engine I
promised in the comments that is replacing my old 454 powerplant. As you
can see from the end of the video this tree stump pullin' 582 monster has
784HP @ 6200RPM and 742ftlbs of torque @ 5000RPM. NO BOTTLE....and is
streetable on pump gas at 10.5:1. Aside from the package Shafiroff offers
on this engine, I had Wilson Manifolds provide intermediate porting and
port matching of the intake to the DART PRO1 355cc heads which proves to be
money well spent as it is giving this beast an additional 35HP over
advertised on Shafiroff's website. Go to www.shafiroff.com for more specs
on the 582 Ultra Street BIG DAWG.
Scott Shafiroff E85 540 First start
First go, spankin' brand new 540 from Scott Shafiroff, New York. This was
the first E85 motor they built - and what a beast! 709 brake HP, and torque
to Boost. Hooked up to a Tremec
TKO600 in my '70 Elkie SS, it will be quite fun. To say the least, he he..
Helping out in the video is former European record holder in Competition
(dragracing) Jörgen "Julle" Lindgren.
