CTS-V No Muffler with Kooks longtubes, hiflow cats, stock resonator only LS6
Another Exhaust experiment brought to you by Alan. This is a stock LS6 with Kooks LTs, hiflo cats, into the stock resonator, and straight piped, no muffler. There's a bit of old-truck clatter at WOT, but no real annoying resonance, and by far the meanest sounding combo to date INSIDE the cabin.
CTS-V with Kook Longtube Headers, hiflo cats, x-pipe, into stock mufflers
Last Exhaust experiment from BIGAL on the CTS-V for a long time hopefully. This is the combo for that sound under throttle yet no interior noise. You can hear the higher pitch of the X over the H pipe. This makes sense since the OEM muffler rob 0-3hp over aftermarkets, making it a great quieter choice yet still fun.
Cadillac CTS-V Exhaust Comparison: Magnaflow VS. Magnaflow and Kooks Headers
Before and After Video of Magnaflow Catback Exhaust with and without Kooks 1 3/4" headers and high flow cats on a CTS-V. Car is louder overall, as well as deeper and raspier with the headers on. V also has K&N CAI and various other mods not relevant to the Exhaust note.
NOTES: Car in backround is 2003 Terminator Cobra. Car is smoking at beginning of second video because the car was warmed up (it was cold out, and didn't want to rev the engine cold).
2005 CTS-V LS6 Corsa Exhaust
My 2005 CTS-V.. warm start with a couple revs. This is mostly for those of you interested in hearing an LS6 CTS-V with a bolt-on cat-back Corsa Exhaust (with stock headers and cats).
Performance mods so far:
- Corsa cat-back Exhaust
- W4M PCM
- K&N drop-in air filter
She does have a couple small Exhaust leaks, but those will be fixed soon (I bought the Exhaust used).
CTS-V Flowmaster Super 40 Drive By with Kooks 1 7/8 Headers and stock resonator
2005 CTS-V with stock LS6, Creative Steel Ultra Mounts, Kooks Longtube Headers, Kooks hiflow cats, stock resonator, Flowmaster Super 40s. I bit more interior resonance down low than the magnaflow in other vid, but quiets down quickly and gets rid of the longtube "pop" that is heard in the magnaflow vid.
The 750 hp D3 Cadillac CTS-V -- /TUNED
The CTS-V is one of the most tunable sedans money can buy, thanks to its Corvette-derived drivetrain and robust running gear. Its also quite practical as a daily driver. We visit well known tuner D3 to see how the CTS-V takes to their modifications.

CTS-V Flowmaster Super 44 vs Dynomax VT
2005 cts-v with headers, high flow cats, 3 inch x pipe with 2.5 inch pipe to the mufflers. also has a cam, tuned, and sitting on h&r lowering springs. flowmasters had awful drone at 1500-2000 rpm, couldnt have a conversation at 60mph. the vts have absolutely no drone and flow better than the flowmasters.
