Got some great feedback from one of the instructors and tried to put it to
use to improve the margin of safety and understanding of the car on this
challenging course. I'm certainly not maximizing the potential of the car,
but it's a daunting track and one that commands respect.
Matt TV - Matt McMury, Youngest Race Car Driver?
Matt McMurry is the youngest-ever driver of a Formula Mazda, an open wheel
racer. Matt has been racing karts since age 4, became the youngest ever
graduate of the famed Bondurant School of Performance Driving (where he
drove Corvette C6 for 3 days), and now adds a Formula Mazda to "youngest
ever" list. He hopes to add the 24 Hours of Le Mans to the list in a couple

Driver: former racer and current driver coach, David Empringham. David has
won the Formula Atlantic championship twice, Indy Lights championship once,
and was the 2005 Grand-Am GS class champion.
I timed his second lap at about 1m40s, easily as fast as an 80s 911. Just
an incredible machine that we were off-roading in only a few minutes
before! For my American friends, 205 km/h on the back straight is *just*
under 130 mph
