Bonneville 2010: New Land Speed Record!
The Spectre SpeedLiner sets a new land speed record in the Spectre Performance SpeedLiner with Amir Rosenbaum at the wheel. The hpR Filter equipped, twin turbo Cadillac (by Cad Company) powered streamliner went 344mph at the exit and set an A/BGS record of 324mph (the old record was 286mph)

Burt Munro's 1920 Indian Scout
This is the 1920 Indian Scout built and driven by Burt Munro. Jay Leno on commentary. Three times during the '60's it set the World's fastest flying mile record for motorcycles under 1000cc at the Bonneville Salt Flats. This is not the reproduction used in the "The World's Fastest Indian" starring Anthony Hopkins, but the actual bike that set the record. Fortunately this is the second year of the Concours d'Elegance to feature motorcycles on the green. This year they featured the salt flat racers and their contribution to Hot Rodding. I was very lucky to see and hear this amazing piece of history. Twin Turbo Ferrari Enzo Takeoff at Bonneville (2010)
Yeah the vid quality sucks, its a point and shoot camera and if you have ever tried to shoot anything on the salt, you know what a pain in the ass it is without a good set of filters (which this cam lacks) Ok, for the people that are complaining about how slow the car takes off on the line, then you really don't understand how Bonneville works. The cars do not take off hard at the line. The tires on this Ferrari were very, very narrow and it would spin all over the place if it tried to launch hard. In fact, most of the really high speed cars out on the salt flats need a truck to push them off to get started because they are all geared for top speed and NOT 1/4 mile or 0-60. Bonneville isn't a drag race, it's all about top speed here and a hard launch doesn't matter! It was on the short course and IIRC it was for licensing. Gorgeous rebuilding of the car through and through and lots of respect to the owner for taking a $1M+ car and making it a salt flat racer!
