Jim's turbocharged V6 Commodore proves you don't need an LS1 to go fast. The car has run well into the 9s previously but this time out Jim raced the car in full street trim on 98-octane. Powered by a 4.2L stroker engine, Boost comes from a Garrett turbo and Delco EFI.

Holden Commodore VR V6 With T70 Turbo. Startup, idle and small revs
Just testing out the new HD camera, figured I might as well do a new video
showing what the car is like now. Still very much a work in progress, shown
by mismatched leads and cable ties.
But for those who are interested, the simple specs are:
Factory Unopened L27 Buick V6 Engine
(decent) Chinese T70 0.70 front 0.84 rear (Running 10psi atm)
DSR 38mm Wastegate with 7.4psi spring
Tial "styled" 50mm Blow off valve
Bosch EV1 44lb Injectors
GM 2 bar MAP sensor
Re-tuned delco ecu for all mods
Full 3" Intercooler piping
with a 600x300x76 FMIC
Full custom made 3" Exhaust with 2
Using factory drivers manifold with custom crossover pipe merges into
custom passengers manifold then into the turbo
Shift kitted / Corvette servo fitted 4l60E transmission with large trans
Car has done upwards of 2500km since this most recent setup and has been
handling it quite well, only problems so far have been the air filter, and
leads melting but apart from that, it's been a real pleasure. Next on the
list is some form of locked diff, and a few more psi in the intake!

GAS747 Holden Calais turbo by Tunnel Vision
Paul's Calais runs a personal best time at Heathcote. The Holden is the
quickest VL turbo and Nissan powered car
in Australia on LPG fuel. Boosted by
a Tunnel Vision RB30 and custom LP Gas fuel system, power comes from a
Garrett GT42 turbocharger. This was
Paul's first time out with this new combination so expect the car to run

How to build HORSEPOWER - Ford 461ci Windsor V8 by Dandy Engines
Engine specialists Dandy Engines building a small block Windsor 461ci
stroker for Pat Staplton. Follow the engine assembly as the guys aim to
make more than 820hp naturally aspirated on regular pump unleaded. Pat
plans on putting this brute of an engine into a Ford Falcon XD/XF Ute. [

LS1 turbo Holden SS Ute - DAWEPN
Chris' Holden Commodore SS Ute runs at Calder Park for the first time. The
car features a factory 185,000+km 346ci LS1 engine that is internally stock
apart from valve springs and push rods. Boost comes from an ASE T1000 single turbo kit making around 360kW to the wheels. Power
is transmitted via the factory 6-speed manual gearbox to 235mm street
radials. A recent change has been the addition of an prototype 3-link 9in
rear end by Independent Motorsports.
FAST V8 turbo Holden Commodore street car
Luke Foley's wild Holden VH Commodore street car hits the track with a new
engine setup in the way of a GM 408ci LS2 V8 complete with a mid frame turbonetics 88mm turbocharger. The ran into the nines on Luke's
first pass and considering it was his first time testing the new
combination we're sure it will run quicker yet.
