Jim's turbocharged V6 Commodore proves you don't need an LS1 to go fast. The car has run well into the 9s previously but this time out Jim raced the car in full street trim on 98-octane. Powered by a 4.2L stroker engine, Boost comes from a Garrett turbo and Delco EFI.
GMRB30 Commodore VL turbo
Dave's VL Commodore runs a personalb est passs at Heathcote Park Raceway.
The car features a forged RB30 engine and is Boost by a custom JPC Garrett T66 turbo and Autronic EFI.
V6 twin turbo Holden - TERAFI
Craig's Holden VN Commodore has been a long time in the build and it was
great to see the guys get some first full passes in. The VT based 3.8L is
Boosted by a pair of Garrett GT3076R
turbo and considering the guys are only
at 15psi Boost there is certainly a
lot more to come from this car.

This was probably the NUTTIEST car we encountered at the Pikes Peak Air
Strip Attack - this 1170hp 101mm turbo
equipped Cadillac CTS-V was turning heads everywhere it went. Hop into the
passenger seat as we race down the 1/2 mile raceway at over 180 mph!
FAST V8 turbo Holden Commodore street car
Luke Foley's wild Holden VH Commodore street car hits the track with a new
engine setup in the way of a GM 408ci LS2 V8 complete with a mid frame turbonetics 88mm turbocharger. The ran into the nines on Luke's
first pass and considering it was his first time testing the new
combination we're sure it will run quicker yet.

Rotary 20B turbo RX7 - Dyno & track
Built as an all-round event's car, Charles' Mazda RX-7 has undergone
serious chassis and engine changes including a Promaz Automotive
bridge-port 20B rotary engine. Boost
comes from a Garrett turbocharger while
the engine runs on methanol fuel controlled by a MicroTech LT16 computer
and LTC dash logger. Backed by a Jerico 5-speed dogbox, the clutch was
suffering on the Dyno
as the Promaz team got the car ready for Performance Car Mania. [

Jim's V6 Commodore at Heathcote Park running a flat 10. The V6 has been
stroked to 4.2L and is Boosted by a
Garrett turbo running on pump unleaded
petrol through a Preston Automatics Powerglide transmission. This car has
previously run a 9.65.

unassuming looking SS is Boosted by

E85 ethanol tuned by A.P.S competing at the MPW Dyno day.
