2011 Ford Crown Victoria LX

Some footage of me driving around in the Crown Vic in Portland. After I start up the car and have some fun making it howl in first gear, I took it out for a drive. It may not be fast but it has a V8, made noticeable at 1:45! This car in fact is powered by the 4.6L "Modular" V8, which was named such because of its manufacturing plant protocol. The Crown Vic also features a 4-speed automatic transmission. This was a rental car from Hertz, and was classified as a Premium (G, PCAR). I don't know why, but I have always had a soft spot for the Ford cars based on the Panther platform. Can't wait for my P71!

2011 Ford Crown Victoria LX Start Up and Test Drive
UPDATE 9/2/2013 From USA Today: NEW YORK (AP) — Ford is recalling 370,000 cars due to potential corrosion to their steering shaft that may result in loss of steering. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The cars include 2005 to 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Cars. About 355,000 are in the U.S. and 15,000 in Canada. Dealers will inspect the cars and may replace the lower intermediate steering shaft and if necessary resecure a lower steering column bearing and replace the upper intermediate steering shaft. States included in the recall are: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Owners in other states can also ask for inspections and repairs. In this video, I take you on a test drive of the 2011 Ford Crown Victoria LX. Phenomenal car. It was purchased to replace the 2002 Dodge Intrepid that I didn't feel like spending more money on to maintain. It's so easy to drive, incredibly comfortable, and is still stylish with the shiny black paint and classic lines. Please feel free to ask any questions about it if you're considering purchasing one. Enjoy!
