1969 AMC AMX 390 V8 Four Speed Muscle Car
I thought you'd like a look at this nicely restored 1969 AMC AMX. The exterior is coated in a gloss red, with silver stripes running the length of the vehicle. The interior is a rare option Platinum vinyl. Under the hood, you will find a 390 CID V8 backed by 4-spd manual transmission. The engine offers a mild camshaft, forged pistons, roller rockers, and has been balanced. The rear end is a 3.54 posi grip. Other options include: AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. There were no short cuts taken on this restoration. Many of the parts used are NOS and the mileage since rebuild is just 325 miles! Thanks for taking a look! 1978 AMC Gremlin
The AMC Gremlin is a two-door subcompact car produced in the United States, Canada and Mexico by the American Motors Corporation (AMC) and Vehículos Automotores Mexicanos. The Gremlin was an economy car by 1970s U.S. standards. It served as a foundation for alternative fuels and power systems, including pure electric. Designed by Bob Nixon from an idea by Richard A. Teague, the car was based on a shortened and adapted Hornet platform with a Kammback-type tail. faster than other subcompacts of the time, it competed with the Chevrolet Vega and Ford Pinto, and also with imported cars including the Volkswagen Beetle and Toyota Corona. The manufacturer described it as "the first American-built import". The Gremlin was introduced on 1 April 1970, and a total of 671,475 were built in its single generation (one chassis design) and also in only one body style. The Unfortunate History of the AMC Pacer
Behind all the jokes and insults, the AMC Pacer is actually a car with a great deal of history. It began as radical new design from an underdog company. In an attempt to combat the big, bland, boxy cars from Detroit's "Big Three," little American Motors Corporation decided to build something a little different. Their one-eyed car stylist Dick Teague proposed a small, wide car with big windows and smooth areodynamics. Americans had never seen anything like it. This in-depth documentary tells the true story of the Pacer. Unbeknownst to many, the car persevered through manufacturing setbacks, government regulations, and many other troubles. Featuring a ton of old car advertisements and rare footage of AMC's factory, the film helps paint a picture of the Pacer's world. Director Joe Ligo sits down with AMC stylist Vincent Geraci, author Patrick Foster, and television personalities John Davis and Pat Goss from PBS's MotorWeek.

Hot AMC, 390 BBG AMX gets loaded, and off loaded to its new home. 3/03/2012
After being without an AMC Javelin or AMX for over a year, I was still morning the lose of me 1969 Big Bad Green Javelin I sold in 2008, YouTube link bellow, an hour before the sale. I had purchased a nice 68 AMX afterwards, and as nice as the car was, the feeling just wasn't there. After only putting a couple of 100 miles on it in a year, and since I had no attachment to the car, I sold it in February of 2011. I thought my phase of AMC's was over! NOT! I spotted a AMX on Ebay classifieds about a week and half ago. The wheels where in motion! Since we where both in different states, It took a lot of hard work, on the sellers, and my part, but the deal was done. I purchased a 1969 Big Bad Green AMX on March 2, 2012, which has 84000 documented miles on the odometer. It is a 390 go-pack car, and has a built 390, automatic with a shift kit, factory part numbered Edlebrock manifold. I purchased it less than 3 hours from my house here in South Western, PA. Kinda known as the rust bucket of the world for new and old cars alike. So rust is a BIG issue in these parts. Turns out that this was a rust free Florida car with ZERO rust anywhere. It went from Florida, to NC, with the last document mileage of 78000 miles in 1987. It now has 84000 miles. So it has been driven 6000 miles in the last 25 years. Tony loaded the car so I could video, As he puts the car in gear, the drive wheels SNAP into action. I had to move the tie-down straps. So sorry for the shaky hand held movements there. My wife was so excited, she wanted to sit in the car for the 3 hour trip home.
