World Ducati Week 2012 at Misano
The biggest-ever World Ducati Week has just closed with 65,000 Ducati fans
from all over the world enjoying four days of bikes and getting close to
racing stars like Nicky Hayden, Troy Bayliss and Valentino Rossi.
Neil Hodgson was at Misano for MCN to take a look at what World Ducati week
is all about.
Extreme adventure test: Part one
While for many, adventure bikes represent comfort, on road presence and
load carrying abilities -- these clearly shouldn't be their only qualities.
The real design brief for an adventure bike is that it will take you and
your kit wherever you want to go whether that's touring Scotland or
navigating your way across the Sahara desert.
Unlike the majority of tests in the media that focus primarily on road
riding with some token dirt action, this test is different. The 400 miles
of road work covered on this test was purely to get to the off road trails
This is a test to determine which of the four bikes you'd want to take into
the depths of Africa and which would be better off sticking to well
surfaced tarmacked roads.

Ariel Atom V8 vs 600bhp rallycross Citroen DS3 vs BMW HP4 superbike drag race - autocar.co.uk

track day toy, BMW HP4 superbike or a rallycross Citroen DS3 with 600bhp?
SUBSCRIBE to Autocar:
Here we have three completely different ways of going extremely quickly in
a straight line. Time for a drag race then. So what are the contenders?
There's the one-wheel drive BMW HP4 superbike, which arguably requires the
most skill to extract speed from but has a ludicrous 757bhp/tonne
power-to-weight ratio. Then there's the two-wheel drive Ariel Atom V8 with
748bhp/tonne and the Citroen DS3 Rallycross car with only 577bhp/tonne but
all-important four-wheel drive. Oh, and did we mention it's wet?
Autocar, the world's leading motoring magazine and website, delivers

team of experts. Our presenters include some of the world's top motoring
journalists who have unrivalled access to the world's fastest, rarest, most
exotic and most exciting cars on some of the world's best roads and race
Can a supercar beat a superbike? Can a Audi A1 outrun a Nissan GT-R on a
wet circuit? Can a Porsche 911 slay a Corvette on the drag strip? Autocar
pitches the giants of the performance car world against each other to
deliver the all-important verdict.
