68 FIREBIRD 350 HK MOTORSPORTS DYNO - BASELINE PULL MARCH 2011
Baseline pull prior to rebuild. Made 169 HP and 247 Torque on a Chassis Dyno at HK Motorsports in Van Nuys, CA. Should translate to around 211 flywheel HP (169 x 1.25). Motor is a 1970 Pontiac 350 with stock iron intake, stock quadrajet, stock #11 heads. With stock Exhaust manifolds, dual Exhaust with h-pipe and Flowmaster Deltat Flow 50's.

This is my 1968 Pontiac Firebird with the 350 pontiac motor, 2 speed automatic tranny. Has dual 3" Exhaust system. Car was originally found in nebraska sunk down in the mud in a forest of pot plants 6 feet high. had a tree growing through the rear right fender of the car.

Engine rebuild part 1
We are rebuilding a GM 350 5.7 engine. Now in this particular case we are also going to upgrade the engine to a 383 6.0 This is called building a "stroker" motor. In other words we are increasing the "stroke" of the engine which increased the torq & horsepower.
If you are able & wanting to rebuild an engine, this video should give you a good overview of what to do. If you are having someone else build an engine for you, you will be able to see what's involved in the process

Mike's 50th birthday present
2 years of hard work and complications, I was able to restore a 1975 Firebird Esprit for my brothers 50th birthday gift. This was his first car back in 1978, this car was restored using one Polaroid picture and memory to go by. He had no idea this was coming.
