Test Driving 1967 Corvette 427 Big-Block 3x2 Carbs 435 Horsepower
I thought you'd like a look at this nicely restored 1967 Chevrolet Corvette, powered by the 435 horsepower 427 Big-block Tri-Power V8 with high-compression and a solid lifter cam. All that power is funneled through a Muncie Four-speed manual trans back to a posi rear. This thing sounds mean and has the performance to back it up. The sound coming out of those side pipes is unbelievable. I hope you find it interesting...thanks for watching!

With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to electric piano. 011

1984 Bloomington Blue coupe with Terry Michaelis.mp4
Attended Bloomington 1984, had half ton video camera. Dave and Carol Burroughs were kind enough to give easy and facilitated access to the show grounds (Normal Illinois at the time) to enable to video tape the show events and people. It truly turned out to be a recording that showed great individuals and an occasion to share and exchange the enthusiasm for a piece of Americana. perezjohnt@aol.com

132137 / 1967 Corvette Pro-Street
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/7qu5odl
Pro-Street is about two things: going fast, and looking good doing it. It's the application of drag-race components and technology in a street car to create forehead-flattening acceleration. But at the same time, it's also about craftsmanship, and many Pro-Street cars, such as this 1967 Corvette, are built to such high standards that they border on art.
Nicknamed "Toy Time," this '67 Sting Ray takes no prisoners and pulls no punches. Built with all the best Pro-Street tricks, from the massive tubs out back to the giant hood scoop and wild graphics, this car nails the show car role perfectly. The original fiberglass was massaged and straightened until it was better than new, then subtly modified for Pro-Street duty. The stock hood was retained, but you'll be forgiven for not recognizing it underneath that enormous snorkel hood scoop, which is practically mandatory for Pro-Street. The rear fender openings were stretched and recontoured to clear the massive Mickey Thompson meats tucked neatly inside, but without a stock Corvette for comparison, it's awfully hard to see how extensively the quarters were modified. This is some seriously nice workmanship.
With the body mods complete, $30,000 worth of paint went on. But not just any paint—in this case, it is a glittering red called Wineberry with a metallic base for a spectacular glow in any light conditions. A second color was sprayed on the bottom half, an interesting paint called Black Chameleon, which seems to change color as you move around the car. Then several layers of graphics in green, yellow, and blue were applied using a variety of techniques, including an airbrush, to get the desired effect. Hand-applied pinstripes finish the look, and it's all covered in several layers of clear for a perfectly blended look.
Look under the hood and you'll find a custom-built 557 cubic inch "Street Monster" big block Chevy. With a Dyno-proven 840 horsepower, this is not just another pretty engine without any guts, but a professionally built piece capable of launching this rocket into the 9s in the quarter mile. An MSD ignition system has been installed to light the fires, and a set of beautifully fabricated aluminum valve covers dress up the top end. Massive long-tube headers dump the spent gasses directly into Borla collector-style mufflers that dump out just under the doors. Up front, there's a massive aluminum radiator with an electric fan, which, combined with the electric fuel pump, provides worry-free cruising, whether you're on the street or idling through the show field to collect your trophy.
The transmission is a built 3-speed automatic, easily up to handling the 840 horsepower violently twisting through it. Out back there's a narrowed Ford 9-inch hanging on a fully adjustable 4-link suspension with a Panhard rod for lateral location and wheelie-bar brackets, just in case. There's a custom fuel cell out back, with fuel delivery by Barry Grant. Wheels are Centerlines, with Mickey Thompson Sportsman rubber.
I should note that the interior work alone cost more than $25,000 on this car. Comfortable high-back bucket seats are covered in custom-dyed leather that perfectly matches the Wineberry exterior paint. And the black inserts in the seats, the headliner, and the rear panels are genuine stingray hide—yes, from the ocean. The original dashboard is now filled with cool Autometer gauges, and a full roll cage with removable door bars has been installed for both safety and to keep the body rigid. And as I mentioned earlier, look at the paint in the doorjambs—amazing!
So here you have a car that has the potential to rip off 9-second quarter mile passes, and to win awards at the very highest levels. Duplicating this car would cost several times the asking price, and would probably require several years of painstaking work. Instead, why not have it all with this one—brutally fast and brutally beautiful, this car perfectly embodies the philosophy of Pro-Street: go fast, and look good doing it. Call now!

If you're one of those enthusiasts who enjoys being at the pinnacle of style, the top of the leader board and the front of the car show, this world class Corvette pro-tourer is the car you've been dreaming of!
This slick C2 Sting Ray's body is a never-been-hit '67 and, as you can tell, the very talented craftsmen at Corvette Restorations AZ treated it to a lot of time and some amazing fiberglass work. The car's only noteworthy modifications include a couple of bolt-ons that combine both form and function to create a more aggressive front clip, and massaged fenders which perfectly frame its massive wheels and tires. And its sinuous form has been bathed in a vivid coat of Enzo Ferrari Yellow urethane that shines just as bright as the day it left the spray booth.
Professionally built by Arizona Speed and Marine in Phoenix, Arizona, this Sting Ray's 6.0 liter LS2 Generation IV V8 utilizes an aluminum block, a Competition camshaft and high performance heads that are equipped with severe duty push rods and titanium retainers to churn out a super car killing 521 horsepower! At the top of that engine, a custom fabricated cowl induction system funnels wind from a reusable filter element to a traditional LS2 high-flow intake manifold via a custom fabricated chrome air tube. Once that air is present and accounted for, a GM electronic fuel injection system jets dino blood through stainless fuel rails to high pressure fuel injectors, and GM factory coils shoot sparks into high performance MSD plug wires. The resultant high compression combustion is cooled by a Be Cool 700 horsepower Super Street aluminum radiator which sends water past two 11 inch puller fans and a polished overflow tank to fresh hoses and a body-matched water pump. And the subsequent spent gases are evacuated through a pair of custom fabricated long tube headers which flow straight into the car's custom fabricated side pipes.
Throw this Corvette up on a lift and the first thing you'll notice is four bright yellow brake calipers that squeeze four equally impressive slotted brake rotors. The second thing you'll notice is a bright yellow scatter shield that's bolted to a Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission. Those yellow calipers, which are four piston "Corvette" branded C5 units up front and four piston "Delco Moraine" branded C3 units out back, provide excellent stops and modern car cornering thanks to a heavy duty HydroBoost brake system. And that precise transmission sends all the small block's massive power from carbon fiber clutch packs to a new Fast-Corvette differential that's equipped with pebble crushing 3.70 gears. Of course, those brakes couldn't sufficiently corner without the car's modern power rack and pinion steering and fresh Bilstein shocks. And that rear end couldn't sufficiently hook up without the car's Vette Brakes and Products fiberglass transverse rear leaf spring and suspension kit. All this top notch Corvette hardware rides on a spectacular set of 18 inch Foose Nitrous Thrust wheels which follow 245/40 front Falken Azenis performance radials with 275/35 rear Falken Azenis performance radials.
Open this Corvette's lightweight fiberglass doors and you'll find an OEM-quality standard vinyl interior which has been tastefully updated with both stylish trim components and modern technology. At the center of the car firm bucket seats, which were completely rebuilt during the recent restoration, ride inside a six-point roll bar that's bolted to the car's frame. In front of those seats stylish aircraft-inspired gauges, which now operate electronically, perfectly complement brushed metal panels on both the car's glove box and center console. Between those seats, a waterfall dash interface begins at a continuous motion clock and cascades through controls for the car's Vintage Air climate system and MP3 compatible Custom Auto Sound head unit to the base of a fully functional chrome shifter and chrome switches for the car's power windows. And in front of the driver, a flat bottom, three-spoke steering wheel spins on top of a polished tilt steering column that's complete with a full set of billet stalks.
Everything that's great about this Corvette's original design remains intact; and the added technology transforms that design into a one-of-a-kind custom that will never be duplicated! Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com for more information on this awesome car!
