Driven TV Show (Pilot Episode)
For those who have ever wondered what a Driven TV show might look like, here's a look. This pilot was shot at Griot's Garage in Tacoma, WA. Weigh in below and let us know what you think, both good and bad. And if you are a TV executive looking for programing, feel free to give Tom a shout...
Remember folks, this was done on a shoestring budget. I shot, wrote, and edited the whole thing except for the Stedicam shots where I'm on camera. Since I don't have to pay myself, this works out well financially... except I don't get paid. Dang.

2013 Honda Accord Sport - WINDING ROAD POV Test Drive
For the best video experience, we recommend wearing a good set of headphones for the POV Test Drive at 1:49. The audio in this video was recorded with binaural microphones that, when played back through headphones, give the feel of 3D sound. Trick stuff.

2013 Nissan Altima Test Drive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/nissan/altima/2013/ Nissan calls the 2013 Altima the most innovative Altima ever as this model represents the 5th generation. Practically every facet of the car has been upgraded for the better from the more stylish exterior, to the smooth design and finish of the interior; the Altima looks to distance itself from the pack in a very competitive sedan segment. The 2013 Nissan Altima comes in 7 different trim levels with the base 2.5 sedan costing $21,500. The fully loaded 3.5 SL tops out at $30,080.
On the outside the first thing you notice about the 2013 Nissan Altima is the body lines which look more like Nissan's luxury line Infiniti. There are chrome accents everywhere and the rear LED taillights are hard to miss. The body and chassis are lighter thanks in part to the use of aluminum. The overall drag coefficient of the 2013 Nissan Altima was also reduced which in turn helps lower fuel consumption. The interior of the 2013 Nissan Altima is quite spacious for a mid size sedan. The materials used are very high quality and the interior features are nicely laid out. Again the Altima seems to take a que from the Infiniti design line.
There are 2 different engines options. The first is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 182 horsepower and 180 lb-ft. of torque. The Altima might seem a bit low in the power department but with the Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission, Nissan thinks the 2013 Altima will net 38 MPG on the highway making it one of the most fuel efficient sedans on the road. The other engine choice is a 3.5 liter V-6 that produces 270 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque.
Driving dynamics are much improved as the rear suspension now consists of a multilink setup based on the 370Z sports car. The ZF Sachs shock absorbers are more commonly found on high end luxury cars from Europe. The 2013 Nissan Altima has a trick Active Understeer Control System which keeps the driver in control. Understeer is eliminated by the computer as brake pressure is applied to the inside wheel automatically.
The 2013 Nissan Altima comes loaded with a bunch of standard features. The seats have been redesigned and test to improve posture and reduce fatigue. There is an Advanced Display which makes it easy for the driver to get vehicle information and navigation instructions. The Altima comes standard with Nissan's safety shield which adds over 50 features including a Lane Departure Warning System, Blind Spot Warning System, and Moving Object Detection System.

All-New 2014 Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid Sedan
The 2014 Accord Plug-in Hybrid Sedan features one of four efficient new powertrains for the all-new Accord. The Accord Plug-in Hybrid will also serve as the basis for a conventional hybrid version of the Accord Sedan, which will join the Honda Accord lineup in the summer of 2013.
The 2014 Accord Plug-in Hybrid is powered by Honda's first two-motor hybrid system, and uses a new Earth DreamsTM 2.0-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine producing 137 horsepower, teamed with a powerful 124-kilowatt (kW) electric motor. Electric driving is supported by a 6.7 kilowatt-hour (kWh) lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery, and total system output is 196 horsepower.
To maximize driving efficiency, the uniquely designed two-motor hybrid system allows the Accord PHEV powertrain to move seamlessly between all-electric EV Drive, gasoline-electric Hybrid Drive; and direct Engine Drive. Fuel efficiency for the 2014 Honda Accord Plug-in Hybrid is expected to exceed 100 MPG-e, and it's also expected to receive an Enhanced AT-PZEV rating from the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
Beyond its function as a full-electric vehicle, owners of the 2014 Accord PHEV will be able to choose two additional driving modes to manage battery capacity and tailor the capabilities of the plug-in Accord to their own commute. In its default upon start-up, the Accord PHEV acts as a pure electric vehicle and will continue on in full-electric mode until battery capacity necessitates the automatic switch to gas/electric hybrid operation. At higher speeds or under high demand for acceleration, the gasoline engine can kick in to provide additional power.
In "HV" mode, the plug-in Accord acts as a conventional hybrid, blending motor power between gasoline and electric to maximize fuel efficiency while maintaining the battery charge level. In "HV Charge" mode, the Accord PHEV blends gasoline and electric power while also augmenting the battery charge level.
The 2014 Accord Plug-In Hybrid Sedan will feature an electric servo braking system similar to the setup on the Honda Fit EV, which allows for exceptionally natural brake pedal feel, while extending the range over which the regenerative braking can take place. In addition to its efficient powertrain, the Accord PHEV features remarkably swift charging times. The plug-in Accord can be fully charged from a low-charge indication point in less than three hours using a standard 120-volt household electrical outlet, and in less than one hour using a 240-volt "Level-2" charger. The free HondaLinkâ„¢ EV smartphone application will allow owners to easily monitor the charging state of the Accord PHEV.
Based on the Touring trim level of standard Accord Sedan, the 2014 Honda Accord Plug-in Hybrid Sedan will feature three exterior color choices, including two standard Accord shades (White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl) plus a model-exclusive Burnished Silver Metallic exterior color choice. The Accord PHEV will also feature a weight-saving aluminum hood, 17-inch forged alloy wheels, a unique front bumper along with enhanced underbody aerodynamic treatments.
A host of visibility technologies are standard on the 2014 Accord PHEV, including a rearview camera, an expanded-view driver's mirror, Honda's new LaneWatchâ„¢ blind-spot display, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRL), and LED mirror-mounted turn indicators.
The 2014 Accord Plug-in Hybrid Sedan will be built in Sayama, Japan.
