Onboard with Simon Hadfield for some Untimed Practice laps of the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit in the 1973 Ex John Watson Trojan T101 Chassis 5 - Formula 5000.
Practicing for the 2012 Silverstone Classic "Peter Gethin Memorial Trophy" Simon would finish 3rd after a spin in the 1st race and take the win in the 2nd after a fantastic battle with Martin Stretton.
Anyway, a fantastic view of what its like to drive those historic "Monsters"

2010 Silverstone Classic, U2TC, Lotus Cortina, Race Start without overlay
Historic ace Martin Stretton driving 1963 Appendix K Lotus Cortina in the U2TC race at 2010 Silverstone Classic on the Historic GP circuit. This video captures the race start and first couple of laps. Unfortunately the car succumbed to gear box selection problems and retired from the race. Martin Hunt and Patrick Blakeney Edwards drive Martins 260 Cobra during Sundays race. A jammed gear box selector caused an unscheduled pit stop putting the car back to 34th place with 25 mins to go. They finished 6th.
