Arkansas Electric Vehicle Rally
Arkansas Electric Vehicle Rally. Students built the cars from kits, then competed in events like a long distance race, an obstacle course and a quiz bowl to see if their minds are as fast as their cars. It's not only fun and educational but learning to work on these cars could really give them an edge up in the years to come. The cars can travel up to 38 miles per hour and can run for about an hour on a single charge. http://goo.gl/ek8Dj

Killacycle New World Record 155 MPH!
See what 990 www.A123systems.com cells can do! Last run on March 31st 2007 at Firebird speedway in AZ. This is the fastest and quickest 1/4 mile run of _any_ electric vehicle on the planet! All 60 foot times were less than 1.19 seconds. Impressed? Check out www.NEDRA.com for more information on electric drag racing, and www.Killacycle.com for more on this bike. Speed Records Killacycle
Subject: Killacycle on 'Rapid Turnover; Speed Records' on the Speed Channel I just got a call from a friend who was watching the Speed Channel and saw the Killacycle, the world's fastest electric motorcycle on the show "Speed Records". If you pause at the exact right moment, you can see me in there. But what I'm most proud of is the Battery Management System I designed, developed, and assembled to handle the A123 Lithium Ion Battery pack. The pack consists of 990 cells; the _exact_ same cells used in DeWalt's new 36V Lithium Ion product line. This BMS can be seen on the Killacycle segment when you see those green LEDs glowing, and later in the show in the White Zombie segment. Later tonight I'll post a copy of this video on YouTube (after I finish cleaning up after the flood). I bet if you search for "Killacycle" and "Speed Records" you will be able to find it on YouTube. If you would like to see more, you can look at my web site at www.Ciciora.com, the motorcycle web site at www.Killacyle.com, or there are a bunch of videos posted on YouTube.com Just search for "Killacycle" on YouTube.com. One of my videos I filmed and uploaded has over a quarter million views, and is the #90 most linked video of all time under "Autos and Vehicles". - Steven Ciciora

Killacycle battery powered drag bike's record-breaking run
The Killacycle broke records at the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing Association) Grand Finale in Las Vegas. Susan, the vidograper, caught driver Scotty Pollacheck's beautiful burn out and 8.76 second quarter-mile run. Carefully watch the end of the track when the powerful A123 M1 batteries burn out one of the overloaded motors, sending sparks onto the track and a ball of glowing plasma high over the right guardrail.

KillaCycle New Record 7.86 @ 169 MPH Bandimere Speedway NEDRA event
Two new Electric Vehicle World Records in one Run! Here is some video of the Killacycle and The ElectroCat. The Killacycle is the electric motorcycle that I designed and built the Battery Management System for. Below is some text that bike owner, Bill Dube' wrote describing the event: The KillaCycle has done it again. We broke the _overall_ NEDRA record for electric's in the 1/4 mile. The KillaCycle is the very fastest and quickest EV of any sort in the 1/4 mile. It was a beautiful day at Bandimere Speedway and, as always, the track conditions were perfect. The A123Systems battery propelled us into the recordbooks once again. A123Systems stock raced ahead of the pack on the NASDAQ on Thursday, and their batteries put us _farther_ ahead of the pack today. I believe we posted the lowest ET (best time) for any vehicle at the track today at Bandimere. There was a very well-attended bracket race going on, and I think the best ET of any of these powerful- purpose-built interal combustion vehciles was in the low 8's. In the left lane is Eva Hakansson on her ElectroCat, 100% street-legal in both the USA and Sweden, set the open NEDRA record for a 48 volt street-legal motorcycle; 13.249 @ 52.97 MPH. (She selected the 1/8th mile record, even though her 1/4 mile time was also new record.)

KillaCycle - New World Record !!!!!!!!!
The KillaCycle, ridden by Scotty Pollacheck, made drag racing history AGAIN at Bandimere Speedway October 23rd, 2008. 7.89 s @ 168 MPH is a new official record and makes KillaCycle to the world's quickest electric vehicle of any kind! The A123 Systems Nanoposphate batteries are changing the entire landscape for electric vehicles, and battery-powered devices in general.

Killacycle, Best Burnout for World's Fastest EV!
With a new tire, the Rider, Scotty Pollacheck did an exceptional burnout to expose some fresh, new rubber. As it turns out, this was also our best "first run of the day" with the controller turned down to only 900 battery amps, and the battery pack not quite fully warmed up. Isn't it amazing what A123 Systems batteries can do?!? Search YouTube for "KillaCycle" for more videos, visit www.KillaCycle.com, or www.NEDRA.com for more information on Electric Drag Racing!

The Killacycle & Scotty Pollacheck 7.82 @ 168 MPH
This weekend at the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing Association) California Nationals Scotty Pollacheck bested his own existing world record of 8.08 sec @ 163 mph with a 7.82 sec @ 168 mph on the A123 Systems Killacycle Electric Dragbike. Owner Bill Dube' has finally reached his quest of breaking the 7 second barrier. Go to Killacycle.com and/or NEDRA.com for more information on this record breaking machine!
