Arkansas Electric Vehicle Rally
Arkansas Electric Vehicle Rally. Students built the cars from kits, then
competed in events like a long distance race, an obstacle course and a quiz
bowl to see if their minds are as fast as their cars.
It's not only fun and educational but learning to work on these cars could
really give them an edge up in the years to come.
The cars can travel up to 38 miles per hour and can run for about an hour
on a single charge.
KillaCycle - New World Record !!!!!!!!!
The KillaCycle, ridden by Scotty Pollacheck, made drag racing history AGAIN
at Bandimere Speedway October 23rd, 2008. 7.89 s @ 168 MPH is a new
official record and makes KillaCycle to the world's quickest electric
vehicle of any kind!
The A123 Systems Nanoposphate batteries are changing the entire landscape
for electric vehicles, and battery-powered devices in general.
Killacycle battery powered drag bike's record-breaking run
The Killacycle broke records at the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing
Association) Grand Finale in Las Vegas. Susan, the vidograper, caught
driver Scotty Pollacheck's beautiful burn out and 8.76 second quarter-mile
run. Carefully watch the end of the track when the powerful A123 M1
batteries burn out one of the overloaded motors, sending sparks onto the
track and a ball of glowing plasma high over the right guardrail.
The Killacycle & Scotty Pollacheck 7.82 @ 168 MPH
This weekend at the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing Association) California
Nationals Scotty Pollacheck bested his own existing world record of 8.08
sec @ 163 mph with a 7.82 sec @ 168 mph on the A123 Systems Killacycle
Electric Dragbike. Owner Bill Dube' has finally reached his quest of
breaking the 7 second barrier. Go to Killacycle.com and/or NEDRA.com for
more information on this record breaking machine!
Speed Records Killacycle
Subject: Killacycle on 'Rapid Turnover; Speed Records' on the Speed Channel
I just got a call from a friend who was watching the Speed Channel and saw
the Killacycle, the world's fastest electric motorcycle
on the show "Speed Records". If you pause at the exact right moment, you
can see me in there. But what I'm most
proud of is the Battery Management System I designed, developed, and
assembled to handle the A123 Lithium Ion Battery pack. The
pack consists of 990 cells; the _exact_ same cells used in DeWalt's new 36V
Lithium Ion product line. This BMS can be seen on the
Killacycle segment when you see those green LEDs glowing, and later in the
show in the White Zombie segment. Later tonight I'll
post a copy of this video on YouTube (after I finish cleaning up after the
flood). I bet if you search for "Killacycle"
and "Speed Records" you will be able to find it on YouTube.
If you would like to see more, you can look at my web site at
www.Ciciora.com, the motorcycle web site at www.Killacyle.com, or
there are a bunch of videos posted on YouTube.com Just search for
"Killacycle" on YouTube.com. One of my videos I filmed and
uploaded has over a quarter million views, and is the #90 most linked video
of all time under "Autos and Vehicles".
