Driving a Powerglide on the Street
This is the first drive of the Eaton-blown 363/Powerglide combination.
Literally the second time I started the engine - so I took it easy (sorry,
no burnouts or high-speed hijinks). This combination should go easy 9's.
I can't believe how driveable it is...

This is an in-car shot of Mike drag racing his 73 Duster using a Lenco
transmission. His dial in time is 10.60 and his ET for this race was a
10.61. This video shows the fast accelleration of a Mopar motor.
GoPro HD: Drag Racing- Stick Shifter
GoPro HD HERO 960 captures Dennis and Clint Hagedorn at The Night of Fire
in Eddyville, Iowa- they went all the way to the final round and finished
second place out of a 32 car field. The car is a 1967 Pontiac Firebird with
a 427 SBC and a 5 Speed Lenco Transmission.

Tim Cameron went outside the box on this new buggy and tried a few
different things. It features a 632 cubic inch big block chevy that makes
over a 1,000 horsepower and runs on race
fuel. It has a PTC Powerglide Transmission, SCS Straight drive transfer
case, Dana 80 axles with 2" 47 spline RCVs and runs Ouverson InnerC's and
Knuckles along with Ouverson Hubs. Has Bilstein triple bypass shocks and
coil carriers, Pac Springs, Custom built H1 wheels, 43" SX non Sticky

Here's a brief 10 minute video that gives a nice overview of the EV West 2
speed Powerglide transmission that runs
without a torque converter direct drive to 2 coupled Warp 11 motors.
Depending on the voltage and current,
these twin motors can put out well over 1000 lb/ft of torque, and 600+ horsepower. We used
this motor and
transmission combination to power our BMW M3 to the summit of Pikes Peak in
an all time record for street legal electric cars. The strength and
reliability of this system is key.
