Here's a brief 10 minute video that gives a nice overview of the EV West 2 speed Powerglide transmission that runs without a torque converter direct drive to 2 coupled Warp 11 motors. Depending on the voltage and current, these twin motors can put out well over 1000 lb/ft of torque, and 600+ horsepower. We used this motor and transmission combination to power our BMW M3 to the summit of Pikes Peak in 2012 setting an all time record for street legal electric cars. The "TwisterShifter" by Kilduff for Trucks and Benchseats
Great for bench seat cars and trucks. The throw is only 12" with a 20" handle. The shifter handle in twisted 90 degrees to give more gate area in the front to back motion. This prevents skipping. Also, the twisted handle allows for bending in 2 planes. Can ratchet too.

It was available primarily on Chevrolet from January, 1950[1] through 1973, although some Pontiac models also used this automatic transmission after the fire at the Hydra Matic factory in 1953. Power Glides were used extensively on Pontiacs produced for the Canadian market with Chevrolet power trains. When introduced on upper-level Chevrolet models in 1950, the Power Glide represented the first automatic transmission offered in a low-priced automobile; in contrast, Ford did not offer their automatic transmission until 1951, while Plymouth car buyers had to wait until 1954. The transmission was simple and very durable, which satisfied customers.

**BEST 11.61 @ 121mph, 1.69 60ft all at 3800lbs!!! Had the mph for a bottom eleven and still didnt have all the bugs worked out. Didnt get to turn the wick up to much, only ended up shifting at 7200, though the motor makes peak power at 7600, so there is much more left in it. NEW COMBO : all new 427, G-Force GF4A 4 speed, etc.
