Driving a Powerglide on the Street
This is the first drive of the Eaton-blown 363/Powerglide combination. Literally the second time I started the engine - so I took it easy (sorry, no burnouts or high-speed hijinks). This combination should go easy 9's. I can't believe how driveable it is...

Here's a brief 10 minute video that gives a nice overview of the EV West 2 speed Powerglide transmission that runs without a torque converter direct drive to 2 coupled Warp 11 motors. Depending on the voltage and current, these twin motors can put out well over 1000 lb/ft of torque, and 600+ horsepower. 140 HP Powerglide, orange...far out!
Recently got done with this 140 HP PG, sent to me after many years of sitting, brought it back to life with a new set of pistons, rebuilt cylinders, new cam and cam gear for better performance, complete rebuilt heads with new guides, wider and deeper seats, again for better performance, and many other goodies...all right, this baby is ready to roll ...as soon as the tranny gets fixed, it's going to tear it up!
